"Beerus did it".
I'm just gonna use this as the explanation for Bardok going back in time.

The Q&As from the recent full-color volumes are now up on the main site as well.

I think it's cute that #17 has gone to see Kuririn and #18 (and possibly Marron?) and that everyone's apparently on good terms. That actually answers my question of why #18 never seemed to wonder about her brother's fate in the series proper.

What does Toriyama mean that the Androids 1-15 was to dark?

So 17 and 18 do age, albeit slowly. Interesting.

You're being awfully prickly about this. I think it's fairly clear that by "know his true identity" means "know who they are". Tao Pai Pai is a well known assassin but that doesn't necessarily mean Satan knew what he looked like when they fought(or if Tao was a cyborg or not when this happened). He knows who Cell is. He's the bozo threatening the planet with light tricks. You're grasping at straws.

I bet next we will find out that Saiyans are really ancient humans that travel to Planet Vegeta many years ago, they evolved and adapted on Plant Pant over time.

After these, I won't be surprised. Toriyama still has a good fantasia. Even if he creates a lot of unpleasant surprises. He came back to Dragon Ball, no doubt. :)

A lot of cool stuff in the latest Cell arc Q & A translations. A few of them are questions he has already been asked before in the past but the new tidbits are interesting.
And Trunks the Story wasn't in any of the Full Color Cell arc volumes? That is kinda dumb if true.

Can someone explain to me how the Kaioshin explanation contradicts SEG? I'm aware that Toriyama contradicts what's said in the manga (the manga says there are normally 5 Kaioshin, the North, East, West, and South Kaioshin, with the Dai Kaioshin on the top, while here it is said that there are normally 3 Kaioshin that work in shifts), but I don't see the contradiction here. In both SEG & here, Toriyama said that the Kaioshin live for 75.000 years. In SEG, he said that they are born from the golden fruits of the World Tree, and here, he says that when they die, they grow into plants on the Kaioshin Realm. So... where is the contradiction?
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Alright, so THIS paragraph really interested me the most...
"In the case of modified-human types like No. 17 and No. 18, since they’re human-based they can become stronger if they train. By the way, though they don’t need to eat, they do need to hydrate. Also, their cells deteriorate slowly, so they age slowly too."
...Especially the part I bolded. From an in-universe perspective, the idea of 17 and 18 being able to increase their power by training is, somehow, pretty novel. When you consider that, apparently, their power has been "biologically artificial" in some way all this time, rather than drawing from some sort of mechanical battery or reactor, it does make sense that they could train to get stronger.

#18 most likely train after the Cell saga. So she is likely stronger in the Buu saga, both #17 and #18 could likely live up to over 100 years old at least. If we take what AT says and put GT into account then #18 and #17 might still be alive in Heroes Legacy.

One potentially scary thing concerning 17 and 18 becoming stronger through training is that they can't be sensed(unless I'm mis-remembering and that's only 19 and 20).

To bad they didn't though. They could give the challenge Goku wanted. That's what Goku wanted from Oob right?

After thinking about this a little more, I think we're looking at a "be careful what you wish for" situation here. So many people wanted new Dragon Ball material for so long, now we have it, and this is the result: New info that just seems weird, awkward/contradictory retcons of previously established info to fit this new info, and the world of the series becoming less interesting by having every single thing explained. This is what happens when a series isn't allowed to be over and done with.

Maybe, or maybe we are more demanding than we used to be as children. The original series had shown us almost everyting, so we couldn't wait for some really awesome stuff.

It's literally the latest update, right at the top, on the home page of the site. :)

I wouldn't bet on it since the reveal that base Son-Goku is not as powerful as Freeza, and the SSj multipliers stopped making sense with release of new movie.

Even if we disregard the above info, unlike Cell, 17&18 are human-based androids so the gain due to training they could receive may not be as impressive compared to that of saiya-jins.
