I think the best thing for you, FDLink, would be to go back and read this whole thread, along with the other "Sticky" one. I remember when I read both of them, yes, to all of you out there, I actually read them before I replied, and I found Member's to know of quite a few places that had good deals. If I'm not mistaken I still remember one place selling "Season One" for $38.
So, to sum what I just wrote up, read, or re-read, these two threads, and you'll find some great answers.
Edit: Just went back and re-read what I posted. If I sounded like a jackass, I didn't mean to. One of those things that happens once in awhile to all of us, I guess.

I am a little confused why people are already buying this and they don't know whats on there.Namek'jin Ryu wrote:I was looking around CD Universe today for some DragonBall Z Box Sets I do not have yet. When I compared them to the Z-Store I would save about $20 bucks per Set. That is quite a steal, so I can see buying the complete Vegeta Saga a.k.a. Season One for $20. What a steal, saving 30 bucks.

Because-
1. The likelyhood of it not being uncut, bilingual episodes are very, very low.
2. We're going to receive information before the set is out, so if for some scary reason it turns out that there wont be uncut video or Japanese audio or what have you, we can cancel it,
3. Because if it IS then we are saving a shitton of money.

My thoughts exactly! Why the hell would FUNimation release a box set of cut, non- bilingual DBZ episodes? They wouldn't. They dont even release edited episodes on DVD anymore do they?Blitzen wrote:Because-

Especially since both FUNimation and their Australian benefactor Madman have outright cancelled singles (Madman are going to be doing boxsets for the 67 episodes but no bilingual re-releases for a large ammount of episodes)DevilsAlwaysCry wrote:My thoughts exactly! I'm going to hold off a bit...
I'm one of the poeple who went and bought the Ultimate Uncuts, so to me this is such a "Fuck You!" to the fanbase. Then again I think this is great for all the other people. I will hold off on selling my DVDs until I get a confirmation from FUNimation on what will be in the discs. [Spanish language, video quality...]. I also would like to wait until we get a confirmation on wether or not FUNi will go through with this and release the rest of the series in this format.

Actually Funimation has NEVER released any edited episodes on DVD. Any edited episodes were released on VHS only. As far as movies goes I think the last one they put out an edited version for was movie 9.DevilsAlwaysCry wrote:My thoughts exactly! But that's a whole different story.Slickmasterfunk wrote:Actually Funimation has NEVER released any edited episodes on DVD. Any edited episodes were released on VHS only. I'm with SonGokuGT and DaemonCorps on this one. I know I can cancel anytime if I pre-order, but I am one of those buyers, who actually likes to know, or in other words have confirmation, on what I am buying. Sure we know there will be 39 episodes, at least I think, unless that is just speculation which everyone seems to be doing. (Are there actually 39 episodes, like has it been confirmed, or is it just speculation?) We also know that they will include Japanese / English, and that is about it. Thus why I am waiting.
If I recall correctly, FUNimation DID release edited DVD's. Although the Z-Store doesn't appear to sell them anymore. Don't know why anyone would want to buy the edited version when you could just tape it off television, like I did before I knew FUNimation was releasing DVD's and all that stuff.Slickmasterfunk wrote:Actually Funimation has NEVER released any edited episodes on DVD. They did release some DVDs as edited only (why anyone would buy them edited, I don't know.) Although upon checking the z store, I don't even see them anymore.Slickmasterfunk wrote:Actually Funimation has NEVER released any edited episodes on DVD. Yeah, I've seen those "edited only" DVDs at my local Blockbuster & Toys R' Us. I think those are the two places that I'm aware of that sells the "edited only" DVDs.tarsonis wrote:They did release some DVDs as edited only (why anyone would buy them edited, I don't know.) They've got their description wrong, as far as I'm concerned it episodes 1-36 on 6 discs (the entire first season that aired on CN). Like others, I'll wait till FUNi makes any more official conformation on these before I make my pre-order.johnzer wrote:Has anyone noticed that in the description of this box-set on CD Universe it states "This collection presents the action-packed chronicle of sibling rivalry in its entirety with episodes 1-18.".
It also says 6 discs, would this not be the same as the UUC editions, just a little cheaper?

The reason being is that FUNimation has not yet "officially" announced the Season One boxset. They're probably saving it as an announcement at either Anime Expo or San Diego Comic Con.BrollysKin wrote:So why is Funimation still putting up new info on "ultimate uncut editions"

Sibling rivalry in it's entirety? Yeah, for 5 episodes!johnzer wrote:Has anyone noticed that in the description of this box-set on CD Universe it states "This collection presents the action-packed chronicle of sibling rivalry in its entirety with episodes 1-18.".
