I liked the explanation for Future Trunks seemingly fighting Goku Black for so long. It turns out he always had extra time machine fuel, but it was destroyed in one of their encounters.

Ahh yes the Namek Saga fight with new animation looked great!

But they seriously could've used those extra 12-13 minutes for Frieza training. The Namek Saga part is something that should've been in the movie in the first place to be completely honest.

That super saiyan transformation was so bad in comparison to the original... Everything else was great though.

Thats how it was in the manga, Toei was just trying to be faithful to the source material.

Is that so? It's sometimes hard for me to distinguish the two because I've read and watched both of them so much. Still, the anime version was so much more intense.

I see some people being disapointed because Toei doesn't add Freeza's training or other. But you should know that the movies Battle of Gods and Fukkatsu no F are copyrighted by Twenty Century Fox.

It's the main reason why we have a Battle of Gods and Fukkatsu no F arc in Dragon Ball Super, Toei are not the only owner of these movies, and it's restrictive.

I assume that they doesn't have the rights to change anything of the film and were forced to add at the beginning and at the end the new stuff.

There isn't really any reason to believe that. They were more than capable of producing extra footage throughout Battle of Gods, so I very much doubt anything has changed here.

More likely, they already retold Resurrection 'F' in Super, so rather than go through and do yet another expansion, they opted to promote their currently airing Super arc.

Makes perfect business sense.

I didn't really come in too excited, so I wasn't disappointed. I liked the Freeza recap a lot though, especially because they imitated the manga a little more closely than the original
anime.
