On-Topic thread of Awesomeness!
It's strange thinking back to how I went to see The X-Files movie on opening day (July 25) instead of The Dark Night all because there were rumors that the DragonBall trailer would be included. Now, even if I knew for a fact that a certain movie was going to contain the trailer, I would use that as an excuse to go see it (and that's not all because the trailers have already been leaked/released).

Dude. I explain this in the first post.SSj_Rambo wrote:I haven't been following the live-action threads very much, so JAPPO, do you know all of this becasue you've actually seen the movie, or you've just collected a ton of tidbits of info over the months?

Here's a couple questions for ya.
1: Any references if not appearances by minor/secondary characters like Gyu-Mao (Ox King), Oolong, Tenshinhan, Kintoun, etc?
2: I don't want any specifics, but does it end on a cliff hanger that leads into a sequel? Or does it simply have an open ending that leaves the possibility of a sequel without really shoving it in your face that there will be more movies?

No, but that's about the only thing. They avoided that (this is just a guess but it's pretty obvious) so people wouldn't be confused. The Time Traveller wrote:Nyoi-bo, and that's awesome news. It looks like they're trying to be closer to the original in that respect. Does the script or draft or what ever say "Son Goku" or "Son Gohan"?JAPPO wrote:No question? The Nyibou (sp), btw, is called that. Not "Power Pole."

When you said "shoving it in your face" I thought up this great parody where everything's all worked out and the battle's over. Skip to a few years later, everyone's happy, they're having a barbecue ("Nothing bad's gonna happen today!") and, out of nowhere, some spiky-headed jerk in space armor lands right outside the group.JAPPO wrote:2. It's very open ended. Not a cliffhanger. But definitely possibilities for a sequel without shoving it in your face.
Goku's response?
"Cool."
Credits.
I would laugh my ass off!
For the life of me, I can't seem to find the "I'm not ready for this" line in the script. "Cool" is there, but not "I'm not ready for this."
I think Chatwin recorded that at Fox studios specifically for the trailer. Who knows, though, maybe it was added by the director.
