Is there anything in the film that says he brought himself to his absolute limit?Doctor. wrote:I doubt that. To me it seems just like that Freeza managed to release all of his hidden potential in 4 months and no matter the amount of training he'll do in the future, he'll never get any stronger (unless he unlocks new transformations). My main complaint relies on the fact that it takes him 4 months to release it all.
Huh. I don't recall that tidbit. It seems odd to me that he would know exactly how strong he can become, and I wonder if that statement in the manga was meant that way. I'll have to look into this a bit further, seems like.Birusu16 wrote:I think people are missing the point here. The 4 months Freeza trained managed to release ALL of his hidden potential. He makes that clear in the first chapter of the tie-in manga where he says "If I were to train and draw out all of my hidden potential latent ability"
Well, we don't really know how strong Freeza was upon birth. However, I still agree with you. That would have been an excellent way to close up that BoG plothole while creating greater justification for Freeza's strength growth. It's not THAT big of a deal that he got that much stronger, I just wish there was something blocking the idea that four years of training would have sent him beyond anything the DB universe has ever seen, God's and all.CashmanX wrote:Maybe it would have been easier to swallow it Freeza had been revived with the second wish that Pilaf and co. didn't get a year before Battle of Gods? That way he'd have two years to train instead of four months.
At the same time though, he supposedly was born with a BP of a Super Saiyan....
Well, it would explain why he only stopped at 4 months.Duo wrote:Is there anything in the film that says he brought himself to his absolute limit?Doctor. wrote:I doubt that. Perhaps. But when the main characters are poking fun at the obvious flaw in the new transformation, it implies Freeza could have gone further, if in no other way than mastering his new form.mAcChaos wrote:Well, it would explain why he only stopped at 4 months.
Yeah, it was brought up about 3 pages back.sintzu wrote:I found a review for the movie (not sure if it's been posted) with details about how some scenes play out :

The color is really inconsistent. It looks cyan in some scans, then it's dark blue in others, then it has a greenish hue, in others it's a really light blue, I think it's because of the aura.dbgtFO wrote:Is it just me or does Goku's Blue Super Saiyan hair look different in some screenshots?
It looks more cyan now.
I really do have to wonder what one's opinion on the quality of the franchise is if they think thatsintzu wrote:Spoiler:
I like that Vegeta beats Frieza like that. It reminds me of the Saiyan and Namek sagas, and Vegeta was awesome back then.ShadowWolf87 wrote:I really do have to wonder what one's opinion on the quality of the franchise is if they think thatsintzu wrote:Spoiler:is one of said franchise's most memorable moments.Spoiler:

Still. I get being happy it gets to happen and all, and I could maybe get it were it an epic brawl with them evenly matched similar to Namek and Goku & Freeza... or even if it were done akin to Gohan taking on Cell post-Senzu and still beating him down effortlessly.Abel Taylor wrote:I like that Vegeta beats Freeza like that. Also, I think ghey mean the beating scene in general.
Seriously? Why don't you just learn to broaden your view and accept other peoples opinions. It'll go a long way for you, even in real life. Just because they see a moment like this in high regard doesn't mean they think the quality of the franchise is shit. It just happens to be one of the best moments for them. What you think and what other people think doesn't always line up.ShadowWolf87 wrote:I really do have to wonder what one's opinion on the quality of the franchise is if they think thatsintzu wrote:Spoiler:is one of said franchise's most memorable moments.Spoiler:
Agreed. Vegeta kicking the shit out of Freeza sounds awesome on paper, and apparently looks fantastic in the animation. However that context absolutely kills the moment for me. It makes the fight lame. If Vegeta realized he was scared, but wanted to prove he could still beat a 100% Freeza, then the moment would be all the much sweeter and epic. They could also split that last senzu bean as that did work on Namek, and then have Vegeta fight Freeza at his best. Instead he beats up on a tired Freeza who could no longer hurt Goku beforehand, which pretty much meant Vegeta had pretty much had gotten spoon fed a win. Honestly I'd normally think Vegeta would rather not bother as a spoonfed victory doesn't make him superior. Kinda like how Goku refused a senzu while he was fighting Cell. He would rather die than win like that.ShadowWolf87 wrote:I really do have to wonder what one's opinion on the quality of the franchise is if they think thatsintzu wrote:Spoiler:is one of said franchise's most memorable moments.Spoiler:
