That "back to Super Saiyan" is only speculation for now.
We don't have any proof that it's not just for the promotionnal poster, cause showing everyone Super Saiyan but not Gohan would make the general audience say "wait, why isn't that one transformed, with that trademark transformation we've always known?".

Let's wait for at least a trailer to show him Super Saiyan before jumping to any primary conclusion (proof that he'll appear as a Super Saiyan or lack of), and let's wait for the actual movie to jump to definitive conclusion (presence or lack of explanation or logical event).

Speaking of trailer, I wonder when we'll get one...
Right now, even the movie poster hasn't been added to the official website as far as I know.

It's possible that the Super Saiyan Gohan is only for the promotional material and he'll still be Mystic in the movie.

I really hope so, at least. For the sake of consistency, and because, as much as I like the Super Saiyan forms, I prefer Gohan having a unique form.

Reminds me back when I knew hardly anything of the Boo Arc I thought that Majin Vegeta was actually his SS3 equivalent, so all three of the "main" Saiyans had their own unique final form. Kinda wish that was the case.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Anyone think/hope 'Battle of Gods' can top this?:

Speaking of One Piece, I wonder if a trailer will be screened with Film Z.

I don't think it can top Strong World in terms of lines; that movie had so much hype for so long around it. I'm not even sure if One Piece Film Z can top Strong World in terms of lines.

As for trailers; there's gotta be one at Jump Festa, like...having it be at the tail end of Ms. Nozawa's panel would be good. There's a good possibility that they'll have a trailer for BOG attached to OPZ, but since that comes out a week before Jump Festa it might be the one that's been making the rounds for the past couple months.

Either way, I'm so excited for the inevitable info dump, despite the feeling that they're waiting way too long to dispense it.
On hiatus.

I think this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yserumcBitE in on to something with what the plot of the movie might be.

The movie starts with Emperor Pilaf and his cronies looking for the dragonballs, end up in some Egyptian pyramid (pyramids are what Emperor Pilaf is all about, so it makes sense) and then somehow awake the purple jackal-looking character, which many are calling the god Anubis for now, or the mysterious pink character in the background. Then all hell breaks loose and the Z fighters try to stop them.

I'd like to see something like that, at least. Though I'm not too fond of the whole "AN ANCIENT EVIL AWAKENS" thing; too overused nowadays.

Am I the only one, who don't like Toriyama's art on that ticket?? It doesn't look like it's even him.

It looks a lot like his new art style, I recognized it immediately. And I like it a lot.

But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Yeah same, I don't really like it either. I just can't get used to it.

I like Goku's expression, but the smaller body and skinnier arms, not so much, sadly :( I can't say I dislike it, though.
He looks very young here.

Guys, stop saying Mystic, it simply sounds silly.

Not to mention it was already used in Dragon Ball twice.

That's an awesome presentation.

I think I'll probably do the same thing once I've seen both movies. (Must try and make sure theater staff don't rip the ticket when they tear off the stubs.)

I know the new art style of Toriyama, but the proportions on this picture and the face is somewhat off.
Kanzenban covers and this is like pears and apples.

None of the other terms are much better.

"Ultimate" is pretty cool, since it sounds cool, translates the whole "Mightiest Warrior" idea, and is an actual title given to heroes who have become as strong as they can be ... or are a part of the Ultimate Marvel universe..

I actually hate the way Goku looks on this ticket. He looks nothing like the Goku I love! This guy on the ticket looks like a kid and his arms and legs are so skinny! What the hell happened here?

As pointed out, Ultimate is a better term. Heroes now uses Potential Released. Mystic sounds very childish to me.

I agree. I hatted the "Mystic" term since the first time I saw it. And it's everywhere. :x

Goku does look a little odd there, but I can still tell it's Toriyama, so it still looks awesome to me.

I'm still kind of thinking that Gohan will be using his Mystic or whatever form in the movie, and that the Super Saiyan art is just for promotion. It did look a little odd on the poster, and it wouldn't be the first time something like that has happened (didn't something similar happen to his hair in the Budokai 3 opening?).
