Raging Blast2 - Rivals(intro) = Nickelback Burn it to the Ground
Budokai 3 - Ultimatum = Distrubed The Game
And? That doesn't make the tracks any less awesome.
It freaking DOES. If all the Dragon Ball characters (except for some existing parodies of course) and the entire story I love were blatant rip-offs like Yamashit's music, I'd definitely stop being a DB fan. I used to be a fan of Yamamoto, and I was really shocked and felt that I was betrayed when I noticed all the pieces I loved were not his own creations. Now none of his pieces sound "awesome" to me at all. I feel really relieved that he's gone from the DB franchise forever and new video games like this won't have rip-off music. I'd prefer something original over plagiarized stuff even if the latter was "better".
They still sound great. Yeah, it sucks that he was a no good copycat, but I still enjoy his stuff.

People make remixes/modified music tracks and they credit for it so while they don't own it, it's still somewhat their content.

I said teaser not a long trailer you just gave me. We knew almost nothing from the teaser and got excited. Then they even censored thing like Goku vs normal Great Ape.

No, no it doesn't. If it did, he wouldn't have been fired for stealing.

You can say that to the other artist who stole and didn't get CAUGHT. Mr. Bruce F. He stole the Super Boo theme. He didn't get caught. He claimed it was his. So....just like Keji it's still his music it's just stolen and edited .

Hmm, he composed it so it's his. does Challengers belong to Stratovarius? No.

The problem is he composed way too many homage music. If that's not stealing, I don't know what is.

I never claimed he never stole anything :eh: . I'm honestly quite surprised his theft streak lasted as long as it did.

What did that have to do with anything. He never said he didn't steal. In fact he did said stole. He said that he owns the music he made even through he stole it.

Well actually, legally he doesn't. That's what stealing is. It can't be yours if you didn't create it. He'd have to pay royalties. It's why they had to go back and use the old music in Kai; it's why the HD collection didn't use the music from the original Budokai music. Toei, Namco-Bandai or Yamamoto himself would have to shell out money to Stratovarius and other musicians who had their music stolen if they wanted to use it. It's because it's their music not his. A few tweaks doesn't make it a brand new song, if it did there wouldn't have been an issue in the first place.

Are you talking about Springsteen?

ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT SPRINGSTEEN?!?!

There's only one musician alive who gets to be known solely as "Bruce", and Faulconer ain't it. It's like referring to Toriyama as "Akira", only for different reasons: with Toriyama, the name "Akira" is so common as to be effectively meaningless in referring to a specific individual, famous or not (the closest you'll get is perhaps the title character of Katsuhiro Ōtomo's magnum opus); with "Bruce", the name is less common, but only one person is famous enough for people to know who you're talking about (except perhaps Bruce Wayne, but he's just plain Batman).

If he stole it, no, no he doesn't. Honestly thought I don't recall the song or what song he stole from; but if he did in fact steal from another artist than the song is clearly not his. The original artist has every right to sue the pants off of him and demand royalties. Also, see the post above me about the whole "Bruce" thing.

I've listened to the song a few times and if System of Down wanted to make a case for this, they could. There are a lot of similarities between the two songs. However, unlike Yamamoto, Falconer seems to have done enough to make a case for himself. I don't know how familiar you are with music but there is at least one major distinction with Falconer's song that could help him in his favor. He throws in a small triplet into his run. His song is obviously inspired by the System of a Down song but the triplet makes for a slightly different melody. If you aren't familiar with music I'm sorry I'm trying to think of the best way to explain this but legally falconer could have a fighting chance; unlike Yamamoto who after five seconds of “Move Forward Fearlessly” you can tell it was pulled directly from “Glory of the World”.
