Absolutely, even the people that defend the variants system would enjoy it because the game would look more complete and less repetitive

I mean, Super 17 would be more welcomed than Gogeta from Fusion movie because the Gogeta from Broly movie (the canon one) is very complete thanks to all the attacks, supers, ultimates and transformations that the character used in that movie (some of them from the Fusion movie), so the variant from the previous film is not needed and is enought with a skin that represents him

95 % of the players use one variant of the same character and ignore the rest
Vegeta th3 4th wrote: Tue Apr 15, 2025 12:50 am I don't know why they didn't expand on what Raging Blast did by having one base Goku/Vegeta that can have their supers, ultimates, and transformations customized.
Yeah, that can help to get more differences between transformations of the same character because you can put more original supers and ultimates instead of the same attack with different camera angle

For example: I don't understand why they didn't put the two ki balls that chase Caulifla and Kale when Goku transform into Super Saiyan God in the Tournament of Power against them, instead of two Kamehameha (something very repetitive)
MCDaveG wrote: Tue Apr 15, 2025 5:26 am I also remember the team attacks when you had chosen certain characters from Raging Blast, like Goku's nelson on opponent and Piccolo blasting them with Makkankosappo.
Or volleyball with Gotenks and Piccolo, or Androids doing that team attack they used on Future Gohan.
They were quite fun, when I discovered them in RB. Would be cool to have them in SZ.
That would be nice ! The players would use characters that they usually ignore because some attacks would be exclusive to be used when you have a team with certain characters. Even that can help to see more creative supers and ultimates because the devs should complete the moveset of the individual characters because the team attacks are only available when you are in a team

I'm not against Panzy being a character, it's a little surprising.

I wonder if that Giant Dog from Daima will be a character in the next pack

I'm not sure what a non-fighter like Panzy can bring to a fighting game when there's a limit to how many characters we can get, and it's not like there aren't plenty of fighters to add on this DLC.

I would be really bummed if, IDK, T-3, or some other cool fighter, gets left out because Panzy got in. If she is not taking somebody else's spot, then I'm all for Panzy joining in.

Ah, shit, no new stage? really? it's literally a story in a whole, new different realm. Come on.

Nothing about this game is finished; everything looks incomplete. Why not delay the DLC and include the stages, even at a higher price ?

That would be assuming they planned for a new stage versus they decided to cut it to get the dlc out.

After all the complaints about the first DLC, they still don't learn what the players want

Glad Kuu's getting in the first Daima pack, he was my favorite character in Daima. Honestly did not expect Pansy though, but a neat surprise.

As for the lack of stages and story content, I'm pretty sure we won't get any of that until probably a second season of DLC, if the survey they did a while back is any indication. The devs most definitely know by now that we want that stuff, but everything being made for THIS season is most likely already set in stone.

Kinda paltry for a release we've been waiting forever for. Is there a skeleton crew working on all this? At least throw a Tamagami in there or something.

I guess most of us are just holding out for DLC 3's characters.
Modern DB story arc scores:

The post-launch support for this game has been extremely lackluster. I thought it would get XV2 levels of support, but it seems like they pretty much gave up on it. I don't know how likely we are to get anything beyond the 3rd DLC pack.

So, how do all the people who pretty much said I was wrong for suggesting a Sparking Zero sequel, feel now? The game's post-launch support is lackluster, the story mode was pretty weak, not enough game modes, overcomplicated UI, mostly mediocre music, etc. I could go on, but my point is, as much as I enjoyed the game for what it was, I definitely still think we need a sequel like SPARKING! NEXUS or something. And with how much the first game made and the fact that they have the assets/models for the characters, it should be much easier to get a sequel out by at least late next year or early 2027.

Think about it. No one plays the first Xenoverse game anymore, but Xenoverse 2 still has a player base to this day and has been supported for almost ten years now. Sparking! Zero was great to bring back Tenkaichi, but I genuinely believe it dropped the ball in a lot of areas. But it did its job and made its money. Time to put that to a sequel that could be to Sparking! Zero what Tenkaichi 2/3 were to Tenkaichi 1. And maybe by then, a new Dragon Ball anime will be out and they can adapt characters and concepts from it. I really like how Sparking! Zero and Daima coincided with each other and hope future DB games continue the trend of releasing alongside a new anime/movie.

You're definitely right about a sequel being planned, as the post-launch content would not be this lacking if they were planning on this being supported long-term. 2027 is indeed a safe bet considering all the assets they have to work with. I really hope they give us an updated character select screen, as this one is terrible.

Sparking Zero's popularity is waning and we get paid Panzy DLC to bring the hype back?? LMAO Daima content is such a hype killer

Ugly chibi super saiyans are not it. The devs should Skip to Adult SSJ4 Goku if they want to bring back the interest of the broader audience.

Oh yeah! We don't even get a Demon realm stage (or any stage for that matter)

Come to think about it, I can't believe this game had the audacity to make Super Hero content DLC! Like the movie wasn't years old when the game came out (Which also didn't come with a Red Ribbon base stage)

The issue is how long it's taking. These Daima DLCs should've been released alongside the show, with new stages of course. Why not release a new character every other week or so, and a new stage once a month ? There are so many things they could be doing to keep this game alive, but instead they sent it out to die. I know they probably plan on releasing a sequel in hopes of it selling as well as this one did, but these sales were based on the assumption that this game would have a long life. Now that fans have been burned, I don't know how the sales will look like for a hypothetical sequel.

Tenkaichi 3 was soooooo ahead of its time. If you want to play a proper sequel to it, I highly recommend Team BT4's Tenkaichi 4 mod. That mod is handled with such professionalism that wouldn't be blamed for mistaking it for an official game.

PC gaming has never been my cup of tea. This mod however got me to learn how to use a Ps2 emulator, something I never thought I'd do.
