I got a bit confused on that Jump scan. It says "Goku and co." so I would assume he's bringing someone with him, but I personally don't think it would be Bulma and I doubt Vegeta would even consider running away after what happened last time, and also based on the short titles we got for the next few episodes. Going to be interesting!

Bulma is probably the one that will go with Goku since the latter obviously doesn't know how to use the Time Machine. A half title weeks ago mentioned Vegeta having fierce battle after this episode about Trunks, so presumably he and Trunks will remain in the future to take on Black and Zamasu.

I think Goku going back to the past again works since he isn't just running away. It's actually to find a way to win. Though this is probably something they should have figured out when they went back the first time.

Not sure if I'll like the mafuba being the end to everything, but it becoming an element amidst all the rest of this? THAT intrigues me greatly.

That said though, would Goku really have to go to the past to learn it? Unless I misunderstood that bit of theorizing and it just meant returning to their own timeline rather than going back to DB or further beyond - Roshi is alive in the main timeline, so there's no reason he couldn't learn it from him there, right?

Be kind of nifty if Tenshinhan also assisted teaching it to Goku.

Goku and co.'s situation with Black and Zamasu remind me of what's happening between Cracker and Luffy in OP atm.

I'm loving this! a lot different than blowing someone up with a Ki Blast right guys? The Mafuba will be unique and I think it will give Zamasu a way to appear again in the future. Hopefully Trunks get's a power up, or he's going to die.

Goku learning the Mafuba in the past while Trunks and Vegeta take on Black and Zamasu in the future will be interesting to see. Can't wait for the new titles and summaries. Color me excited.

There's nothing to be confused about. Vegeta's not stupid, he understands when he can't win (in DBS, at least). If he needs to go back to the past and prepare again, he will. Bulma staying wouldn't make much sense. She's quite the coward, if I remember correctly.

Actually, reading the tweet again, that 'but...!?' at the end makes me wonder if Goku actually will manage to learn the Mafuba, or if it's just where it's leading currently and it won't work out for some reason.

Of course, the 'but...!?' could easily just be hype building as well, hard to call.

I wouldn't say she's a coward, she just has common sense. Hell, she wanted to see Freeza up close when he arrived on Earth, and she wanted to go to the future in the first place just to see how it looked despite knowing the risks.

Why has Goku got to learn it? Let Tien, Roshi or Piccolo do it. A character who comes from nowhere to help would be brilliant.

This is probably the one thing that Beerus and Whis brought along with their introduction that I'm not a huge fan of at this point in time.

This is ruining the arc for me. Goku could have learn the Mafuba after the first escape.

As for the Mafuba, I love it. I defintely don't want an Universal Genkidama or a Kamehameha to finish the business.
What a great way to make Roshi relevant again. Curious to know if Tenshinhan will come to help Goku too?!

I'm still hoping for Goku/Vegeta fusion though.

True, but I feel like there was a reason that Bulma decided to go with them. If she just went there and saw some fighting and then just left, I would be a bit confused. I know some are predicting that she's killed, leading another power-up by Trunks and/or Vegeta, but who knows?
