That image looked so poorly cropped. I could do better on Sony Vegas,

You'd better go to the eye doctor I guess.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:Wow, the level set screenshot is actually hurting my eyes.

I actually quite like the colors, besides the first two shots, where it looks ridiculously oversaturated. I'm not saying it looks good overall, just that the colors are nice.dbboxkaifan wrote:Screens taken from the DBZ Season 1 Blu-ray Trailer #2.
Well, honestly the cropping looks to done properly (that Nappa shot looks rather odd) and the colours are pretty good too, I'd dare to say they're better than on the Dragon Boxes Z.Spoiler:

Maybe they toned down the saturation a little after the first trailer?

That's from the first trailer.UltimateHammerBro wrote:Maybe they toned down the saturation a little after the first trailer?
Episode 4, I think it was, had ridiculously high contrast compared with the rest of the footage shown. Looks to me like it's an automated process and we'll get those randomly brighter episodes like the DVDs did, likely because of inconsistencies in film brightness. It's all still way too oversaturated even compared to the orange bricks. Seriously, the sky in the Vegeta and Saibaimen shots looks like 0,0,255 pure blue man...
And yeah, that shot is center cropped and looks terrible. Part of Nappa's head is cut off.

Dont really care about the cropping I will buy these sets just because i'm a huge Dragonball fan. Although I wish they would continue the level sets those are the best DBZ will ever look on home video.

Then get the orange bricks. They're cheaper and aside from season two's sometimes ridiculously bright episodes, still look somewhat like film (though they look very good from sets 6-9). Please don't support this set and tell FUNimation that the fans want this instead of the Level sets. It will probably destroy any chance of a 4x3 release of Z on Blu-ray (until Toei does a remaster) if these are a huge success.cpuguy18 wrote:Dont really care about the cropping I will buy these sets just because i'm a huge Dragonball fan.

So what makes you think Toei Animation would do the opposite? It's possible that they would do something similar to FUNimation's Season BDs.Metalwario64 wrote:It will probably destroy any chance of a 4x3 release of Z on Blu-ray (until Toei does a remaster) if these are a huge success.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:

I can't fathom why someone would get this release when they have the Dragon Boxes...

Considering FUNimation's going to make mass production of these sets they're going to sell a lot on local stores and online, plus the low price helps it very much too so the only way of it being a flop would it if the sales were terrible which isn't likely.
Oh look it's Dragon Ball Z in high definition on Blu-ray! Lets buy this now! *goes to the till and pays then goes home and watches it*

a lot of people don't like double dipping or simply don't see the need for Blu Ray. In fact I reckon it was a contributing factor to the level sets flopping.
Re: Dragon Ball Z "Seasons" Coming To Blu-ray (Updated 12/20
That and the level sets only had 17 episodes a piece and costed more than the orange bricks.ringworm128 wrote:a lot of people don't like double dipping or simply don't see the need for Blu Ray. In fact I reckon it was a contributing factor to the level sets flopping.

Pretty much this exactly in my case. Not even the Dragon Boxes had enough appeal for me to nab them right away as I had just spent a few years slowly picking up the Season Sets one by one.ringworm128 wrote:a lot of people don't like double dipping or simply don't see the need for Blu Ray.

Why does the topic title say Updated 12/20? What new info released on that day? I checked the first post, and it doesn't mention anything in regards to 12/20.
