But then again, Sean Schemmel's presentation of the character isn't exactly accurate to the source.

It was just some speculation (Goku's already got a god form, so it being set up for something grander is believable). But honestly, who knows what Toriyama would decide in the now?

Besides, Goku didn't want to sit up in a tower all day every day to old age watching the Earth like Kami would. But if the universe truly needed him in a role as a god (like, Goku does it or something bad happens), and it meant he could fight forever? He might at least be tempted.

Also, I disagree. At this point (post-Kai/BoG), I'd argue Schemmel's presentation of the character is fairly accurate.

Well, the main reason Goku turned down Kami's role was because he thought overseeing the Earth would be insanely boring. Fighting legions of dead warriors in the Other World was enough to entice Goku to stay dead, and you have to believe being a God at that level would involve fighting some intergalactic shit, and if a poor Middle Eastern kid is enough to make Goku leave his family at the drop of a hat, I'm sure Goku would gladly become a "God" if it meant going on adventures he couldn't begin to comprehend.

Goku is a country bumpkin. He does what he likes, when he likes. He doesn't do jobs. He took that kid with him because he wanted to fight someone strong. If being a god has any sort of responsibility, he'd never take up that offer. He even turns it down again in Battle of Gods when Whis offers him the role once Beerus dies.

Didn't one of the guidebooks list Goku's job as a Radish Farmer? Pretty sure God of Punching People in the Face would be more up Goku's alley, especially if they pay him in good food.

Well theres a chance they might make him an entirely new type of God for example the God of War or something between the lines of him meeting strong people and having a challenge, him not accepting the God of Destruction role was pretty accurate since Goku doesnt really like destroying planets and other things for reasons like ''before creation must comes destruction''

How many main villains do you think Super will have? DB had four or five (if you want Tenshinhan), DBZ had four or five (if you want to count Garlic Jr) and GT had three or four (if you want to view Dolltaki as the main villain of the Black Star Dragon Ball saga). I think three or four will be nice. This is how I view the main villains of each series.

I honestly want there to be no more than four villains to allow the plot to develop and build the villains appropriately.

All depends on how long the show runs. Two major arcs/villains a year sounds good.
