I'm not sure how they're gonna explain Krillin being alive  . Perhaps Ghost Krillin.

That sorta ruins the whole scene. Goku doesn't have an emotional attachment to Vegeta =/.

They could have taken a page or the idea from Dragonball SD

If we were talking about a rebooted anime doing that (or say if Kai had somehow), then I'd agree. And I still agree to an extent, based on the SD pages, cuz it really does...not work, on an emotional level. But just to get things to work out better in a game, I'm fine with it. It's bearable.

The lack of local multiplayer is a bummer, I guess... but yeah, the only person I ever played locally with was my brother, and he hasn't been into Dragon Ball for about ten years, and we don't even live in the same house anymore. So, I mean, for kids and parties, this might be shit, but this really won't effect me at all. I just hope we can mix and match the amount of characters per team (1v4, 2v3, etc.).

The gameplay looked a lot more similar to Zenkai Battle Royale than I expected. The producers stated that the gameplay was "inspired" by that game, and they weren't kiddin'. :eh: No complaints, though.

In the interview, Hashimoto-san states that, unlike the previous current-gen DBZ games, this one will focus more on the team aspects and melee. Hopefully this means that we'll get a relatively involved melee system with more character individuality. Or at least something strong enough to give the critics enough pause to take the game seriously.

Where is it actually confirmed that this has no local multiplayer? Honestly this would be a BIG mistake on there part. Trying to pass this off as the best DBZ game as of yet with something this big missing from the overall experience would be laughable. Seriously, this will get terrible reviews if this, being a fighting game, doesn't have local multiplayer. There are people who don't have internet connection, they shouldn't alienate fans like that :problem: .

I don't really want local multiplayer anyway, so its exclusion is fine with me. With the displayed gameplay, too much chaos going on on-screen with up to eight characters on the battlefield at once. Basically cutting my screen in half for each local player would have things looking undesirable to say the least.

Everytime it seems like a good game is being made. There is always a flaw -_-.

UT/UB: Great everything if you don't count gameplay
Rb2: Great gameplay and decent character roster. Every mode is a versus mode in a way so no real story.
Rb1: Lack of characters(Some will say that), Bad angles, OR as some might say bad looking ultimate
Burst limit: Went to Cell Arc only. Extremely limited roster. Story mode got boring after seeing the same cut scenes 5 times.
Tenkaichi 3: To much of the roster and useless characters.
BT2:....Honestly can't think of one. Can someone make one for me?
BT1: Gameplay was in test mode
IW: No beam struggle or rotating sticks for that hand to hand combat thing
B3: Dragon-rush got annoying after awhile. Story mode got boring after completing it 5 times to unlock all characters.
B2: Gameplay decreased from Budokai 1
B1: Good story mode. IMO bad gameplay. Well average I shall say. Graphics was a little dated but...

Edit: Does anyone know if there is a versus mode for just single player at least? Or at least a World Tourney mode?

Every game has it's flaws but yeah, generally DBZ game have glaring flaws these days.

I honestly starting to think they do this on purpose. They hype us up by sowing all the badass things of the game. Then they wait to the game comes out and we are like "WTF?". Or in some cases once they hype us up(Like now) they reveal something like no local multiplayer.

I don't see how this is a bad thing. Even if you prefer a smaller, focused roster, it's not like it's a missing feature. Infinite World had no beam struggles and had boring, slow minigames, Budokai 2 had the board game, Budokai 3 had the Burst Mode spam, and Sparking!METEOR/Tenkaichi 3 had... too much of something. :P More specifically though, I'd say it failed in bringing enough individuality to the characters... even though there was more than most people realized.

Going by the gameplay video, it seems like they're getting right what Spike's games lacked; the sense of scale. Seeing Oozaru Vegeta lumber across the stage seems very threatening, as opposed to Sparking! where it was just a big (and not nearly big enough at that) character. The character models also seem... smaller maybe. And the stage seems bigger too. Where Goku is standing before Vegeta transforms it really seems like Goku has a healthy distance, but not too far. Also, the walking is still very nice to see. :P

One thing that I picked up on was Vegeta's ki blasts... he fires two distinctly different-colored blast volleys. One yellow and one blue... either it's random or there's some sort of new mechanic going on. Hmm...

I didn't get a chance to see the video. How's the gameplay?behind the back? Over the shoulder? I prefer behind the back and I hated ut over the shoulder gamepLay
Someone hit me up when Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, Chiaotzu :lolno:, Goten, Buu, and Gohan :!: :!: :!: become relevant again :?

It's not over the shoulder like UB/UT, it's more like Tenkaichi just zoomed out a bit more. :)

That was not a fault for Tenkachi 3. T3's only fault was that many of the characters were clones and other said you could spam too much. For a casual to medium player T3 was a great game.

You realise that people are much more likely to play against someone online than locally don't you? Then you see why offline multiplayer isn't really that big of a deal any more, it used to be in the past.

If this game were to have negative reviews it would be due to its gameplay because it's the most important aspect of all games. Ultimate Blast's gameplay was non-existent so it's why pretty much everyone is displeased with it.

I'm not convinced yet on this game...I would still like to see more and hopefully they fix the graphics somewhat because they just seem to bulky. Goku's hands are like the size of Ryu's from SF4. These graphics are very similar to that game actually. I think in order for this to be a day one buy from me I need to see where the story mode ends, how many characters we will be getting, can we do fights like 1V2 and so on.
