Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection 'F'"

Yeah, these costume-change debates are the literally a depth of depravity that I didn't know existed in the Dragonball fandom.

Hell, if anything, I thought the new costumes made plenty of sense as a sort of bridge between their costumes in the last film and how how we see Goku and Vegeta in the final chapter. Goku's costume in the new film has the same lengthened top as he has in the final chapters and GT, whereas Vegeta's leotard is darker, just like the final chapter. The new costumes, to me, feel like hybrids. Is that deliberate? Probably not - but it should be the least of anyone's concern.

The third movie will reveal that a kleptomaniac alien has been stealing the Saiyan survivors' costumes. That's why Goku and Vegeta changed costumes and Gohan couldn't find his. The two halves of Gotenks will also be shown to have new clothes.

Cell is brought back from the dead and is wants against Son Gohan and co. He believes that he can wipe of the saiyan with only 3 months of training.

I don't care how many times people bring the idea of "Fukkatsu No C", "Resurrection C" or the Revival Of Cell, as the next film to be made. It will never be a funny joke.

To be fair, costume changes for the main cast were something that was usually covered via character dialogue in the manga: "Oh, Kaio sent it.", "I made an outfit just like Mr. Piccolo", "I want the same clothes my dad wears.", etc. So I don't really find it strange that someone would like an explanation for the change, though I also don't think their clothes are the most pressing issue to be addressed either. If we had gotten one, great. We didn't though, so oh well. Maybe Toriyama will bring it up in Q&As if we get them this time around (we should?).

It was funny for 2 months. Then... it got overused faster than 9000. However I do enjoy mocking fan art that has Golden Cell or Boo.

Sorry man, but you're a bit late to the party. That joke began all the way back when Freeza was first announced to be in the new film. Pretty sure at this point the number of times it's been told has been... Over 9000!!! ... ... ... Also it's quite clear that Toriyama wouldn't stoop that low. Seriously that's just silly.

By the way, I'm actually quite looking forward to the next film. I heard it's going to take place after Oob appears and trains with Goku for 3 months and attains a new Boo form known as Super Cyan Oob. Oh, also Goku and Vegeta attain a new form of Super Saiyan called Super Saiyan God above Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan or SSGSSGSS. I heard it's green!

I'm not even joking when I say Cell coming back--or a different incarnation of him making his debut--is not such a bad idea at all. Maybe not a great one. But it can be good, given the sort of being Cell is. He can fit many different types of storylines, be it something set in the current "God saga," at an earlier time, or in a Time Patrol spin-off. I've always been interested in the idea of the Present Cell fetus regenerating and becoming a different sort of creature.

Personally, I feel that Cell's pretty much done everything he could do at this point, but if he did ever come back I definitely would give it a chance. I would like it if the next movie did actually have to do with the other 11 universes and take place after EoZ.

Oh, I meant at a later time. It would definitely be horrible timing to revive or introduce a new Cell right after RoF brought back Frieza. Main demand right now are the other universes or EoZ. xD

Honestly, I hope for two more God Saga movies. My fan dream would be a tournament based movie taking place in another universe, featuring the other Gods of Destruction and a rematch between Goku and Vegeta--the latter being the focus of the movie's promotion. This movie could lead to a fourth one with a true major villain and threat. This last movie should end with Goku and Vegeta losing their god powers, imo. No special reason, but I want them to go back to mortal ki/powers.

Golden Freeza, Metal Cooler... All that's left is King Cold revealing a new form that is bronze colored and the set will be complete.
