This was especially true for FighterZ, where so many of the classic characters had to be left out to make room for these nobodies introduced in Super. I cannot imagine being a game developer on Dragon Ball and being forced by the higher ups to include these characters over ones that actually matter. We got not one, not two, but three characters from U2, yet we couldn't get King Piccolo or Tao.Kaboom wrote: Sat Jun 21, 2025 5:54 pmSuper as a whole is irredeemable trash that has no good reason to exist, therefore characters from Super are wastes of game roster space as far as I'm concerned.
The worst thing to come out of the modern era is fans pretending like the modern versions of Bardock, Broly, and now Ssj4 are somehow the "real" and superior versions to their classic counterparts.Kaboom wrote: Sat Jun 21, 2025 5:54 pmThough to be honest, the true last straw that made me write the game off was faking us out by showing real-Bardock in all the trailers, only to later reveal that fake-Bardock was actually the default version/costume for the character and the real deal had to be unlocked separately.
That show has some of the worst written characters I've ever encountered. Actually, that's not fair, because they don't really count as characters; they were just random designs with 0 depth. The potential was there for something interesting, but the writers either didn't care, didn't have time to care, or both.Scsigs wrote: Sat Jun 21, 2025 2:21 amI don't think it's fair to label every character from Super as "garbage."
