I cant remember whether it was Angolz or Ebay, but I found a few of these in sets of 5 for like 40$ in total with shipping... I can't remember though but I know it was a good deal. I'm just not interested in these or I would have picked them up ASAP.
Bootleg. any Dragonball set should have 8 figures and it usually runs for $85+ original.
an easy way to find out if its bootleg , simply look at the picture, if its original, sellers 95% of the time put the actual item, since this type of prize items is recognized for being heavely counterfeited because of its popularity and rarity. So collectors always look for the Toei golden stickers on the top of the boxes.

You guys best bet is to go yahoo.jp and buy them there, since its pretty much the only place that still carries them.
price can go from (after currency exchange) $8 for one figure to $1,500 for the whole collection (DB,DBZ,DB Kai) which is a total of 18 Volumes (144 figures)

For those who love One piece (please dont kill me lol) Banpresto also released OP figures under the same line as this DB ones. OP also have currently 18 Vol and there has been 6 more announced (one coming out this month)

I heard rumors that more DB KAI ones will be announced in June-July , but for now just rumors.

Bootleg.
I'm pretty sure Angolz doesn't sell bootlegs, I've heard about issues with their customer service, but nothing about bootlegs.
You can find some sets - not the really rare ones of course - cheaper than $85

http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-535668.html
http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-535669.html
http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-251914.html

Though, it's all about luck and being there at the right time. Mandarake is a good place to look for rare figures, they usually have them at good prices. But as you said, YHJ is the best place to buy these sets.

Wrong. Angolz: a) is legitimate, and b) split the sets up smaller so people can pick and choose which figures they want at a cheaper price or group figures from the same volume together based on popularity or rarity. (For example grouping the Goku/Chi Chi wedding figures together). This would allocate revenue towards the figures people want and not have to buy the whole set for 85$ like you say. I don't need lectures from you on what is bootleg and what isn't I know what to look for, thanks. The only reason why I'd say Angolz sucks for these figures is becuase they sell out of them so fast that they can't keep them in stock .

Not wrong, I was refering to your ebay not angolz. by the way, angolz is simply a place where all sellers come together (or used to be, just like this store www.locushk.com . So still got to exercise caution.
Ps. Personal experience, 2 years ago , bought an item from them, they said they had to contact the seller , and I was like what?, so they randomly refunded me the money saying the item misteriously went out of stock. not sure now, but it seems at the time sellers put their merchandise there for sale under Angolz name.

You're wrong if you're talking about Angolz, you're semi-right if talking about Ebay. Then again I wasn't exactly clear, as I was still trying to remember if it was Angolz or Ebay where I had seen the sets. I've dealt with Angolz numerous times and trust them fully. They're a tad slow on shipping but they do great work. Ebay I haven't bothered with when trying to search for these due to the inflated prices and the fact that I don't even like the figures except for a select few.

Actually if you think they inflate the price for these series, you might want to look at this series but the One Piece line, they can go up to $300 one figure.
I think this series WCF is pretty rare. Either Dragonball and One Piece. I believe Dragonball have become cheaper due to the absence of Dragonball Fever in Japan. Yes Dragonball was huge in Japan but in the recent years it has gone slowly down in popularity, specially with , considered by many, fail of Dragonball Kai, which by the way I heard they wont even bother in continue the buu saga, rumors that is. But One Piece have become so popular that you can even see Bandai Stopped their S.H Figuarts DB Kai just to focus more on the One Piece Sh. Figuarts, yes perhaps is a coincidence but think about it, all of the sudden the other SH Lines continue but DB Kai stop and you see this bunch of SH OP being made lol.
So yea, I believe if DB had a grown popularity like OP have had in the past years, these set would cost as much as the OP ones.
But yea don't underestimate these sets, they are pretty rare and I believe any Dragonball fan should have them not only because of the great amount of characters and good size (almost 3 inches, some 3.5 inch) but also because of level of detail and rarity. but that is just my opinion.

Ps. if you want links to see the prices, I can paste a ton, on Yahoo Jp.
Ps2. I was not lecturing you dude, I was just putting what I know of these figures for everyone who wished to know more or what collectors of these look for vs other figures.

Alrite, there's one Dragon Ball GT: Generations DVD left at Blockbuster (where my Co-op is everyday). I think that's the only Dragon Ball DVD left there. They sell Dragon Ball: Raging Blast for PS3, no sign for Raging Blast 2 though  :(

Pics soon.

So, my collection has grown since May of 07 when I last posted in this thread (My collection in 2007). Mostly due to the fact that I have no self control when it comes to buying Dragonball merchandise.

I'll start with the wallscrolls I bought from a couple of members from this forum:
ImageImage

Now let's move on to my bookshelf. At the very top I have the 4 American Dragonboxes that are released so far, along with Pichi Pichi 18, Luffy Bulma, and Luffy Goku. I honestly can't decide which of the 3 figures is sexier. I'm leaning towards Goku on that one .
Image

On the next shelf I have all of Dragonball in one format or another. I bought the first DBox single of Dragonball back when there was no sign of the first 13 episodes being released in America. Plus the DVD case and cover art are badass! I haven't bought any more blue bricks besides the first one because I'm one of the people who will wait till forever to get a US DBox release. The other DVD's are early DBZ episodes as you can see. I've now seen Raditz die in atleast 4 different versions. The Piccolo figure is pretty neat. I remember somebody on the forum saying they had a real tough time putting one of his arms in place, and OH MY GOD was he/she right! One of his arms was a real bitch to put in. 30 minutes of my life I'll never get back. Scouters! The scouters make beeping sounds when you push the red button!
Image

Next is what started my collection way back when. Collecting all of the Z singles took a lot of time and a lot of money. So many memories :D. On the same shelf I have a few Japanese DBox Singles. These were also purchased through someone on these forums. And in front of these DVD's I have a few HSCF figures. They're so beautiful. I'm planning on buying more of them soon.
Image

Moving on! In the picture below you can see the Golden Warrior Illustration book, the 4 guides including Landmark and Forever, Mr. Popo's Shenlong Sculpture, and a few of the Japanese Kanzenban. What you can't see in the picture are the 2 Super Exciting Guides behind the Shenlong Sculpture. I swear they're there! You can see em in a picture I'll post later of a close up of Shenlong. So many Japanese books! I wish I could read the language!
Image

All of the Viz Dragonball manga....nuff said. Oh yea, the Shenlong bank. It's awesome! He won't eat anymore of my loose change because he's already full :D.
Image

On the bottom shelf are all the TV specials and movies and all of GT. The picture of Shenlong rising to the sky is a box containing movies 1, 2, and 3 from the Ocean dub days. I own movie 7 in the same format twice for a reason. The reason being, movie 7 was the FIRST Dragonball merchandise I ever owned. I had my mom buy it for me when I saw it at a Toys R Us. The thing is that Toys R Us only had the edited version of the movie. It took me a few years till I bought the uncut version. Then I went ahead and bought a few of the Blu-ray double features of the movies I really liked. Never got around to buying the rest. C'mon American Dragonbox ZAAAA MOOOOVIES!
Image

That completes that bookshelf. Now I know some of you are thinking to yourselves, "That's not a bad collection, but he doesn't have any Daizenshuu. How can he call himself a fan?" Well f*!k you! They just wouldn't fit on THAT bookshelf!
Image

Here I had Cell and Freeza sneak up on my friend while she passed out .
Image

And looky what I found! Only 5 more to go!
Image

Well that does it for my up to date collection now. I have a lot of video games too but you've all seen them before. I don't have anything Kai related because I'm not a huge fan of it. I'll definitly get some Kai sets eventually, but for now I stopped buying Dragonball merchandise to save up for my trip to Japan. I figure with the money I'm using to buy all this stuff including shipping, I can instead save the money, go to Japan, then buy all the Dragonball stuff I want without paying for shipping!

I first posted my collection on page 26 of this forum topic (http://daizex.fanboyreview.net/viewtopi ... &start=500). My collection sure has gotten some more unique things since 2007. And I hope it's only going to get better as I go to Japan this March and find more rare valuables! I can't wait! I'll save a ton on shipping!

Here's a BEFORE and AFTER shot of my collection:

BEFORE in May 2007
Image

AFTER in February 2011
Image

As you can see, I've also gotten a better camera :D.

That's a well rounded epic collection you have there. Kudos! I really like it. And those dragonballs look really realistic too. Great find! Where'd you get those? How much are they and what brand are they under?

This is the same seller my friend bought me the Goku and Luffy figures from, and as far as I know he had a problem free experience.

Hey dbzwish, you wouldn't happen to still have the filler box for that Cell Games Singles Set would you? If you did, I'd definitely be interested...

No Raithos, you don't want the ones in the ebay link. Those are tiny and not to scale. Well, unless you don't care about the scale. The one me, DbzSaiyanSonGoku, and dbzwish have are life size beauties. I got them from a site called Strapya-World.com. Here's a direct link:

Here's a youtube video of someone else who has the smaller version from the ebay link:
