Because I can't like something if you don't like it.
I just realized that Chaozu actually died to Piccolo, and was not just knocked unconcious.

I just love how you state that as though it's a fact that the dub music is superior...
In my experience, it seems to be the other way around honestly, at least somewhat; it is admittedly mostly on YouTube, with comments like "This sounds old, like before 80's old. This sounds like something from the 60's!" or "wth is dis shit falconers bett than this shite". I've even seen a extreme cases, where a few people wouldn't buy the Dragon Ball Season Sets because FUNimation didn't create a dub music track specifically for those sets!
But on the other side of the isle, you have dub fans who truly, genuinely prefer the dub music and have given the original score a fair chance, so I'm definitely not trying to generalize a whole group of people here before anyone jumps on me, but in my experience, said group of people seem to be few and far between.

Each soundtrack has it's fair share of moments. One might say that one or the other sounds better in certain areas, one can't assert an opinion over another without creating conflict.

Naruto is on-going and has the advantage or making a new game based on their latest saga and showcasing the newest characters. DB's most recent games exhausted almost everyone they could have possibly used, including GT characters, movie villians and DB characters. I mean, the only people they have yet to include are Tarble and Hatchyakku. Or have DB Kai make a new movie and put that new villian into the game.
That's because the same game design concepts are being used over and over, they're many different styles they could approach the design of the game with. Hopefully one of these years they'll introduce something unique, I'd love an awesome DB / Z RPG for my 360.
But again... it'll be an awesome RPG.... about Raditz arriving... and the Saiyan Saga... and Freeza and so forth. There's just not much that can be done unless Kai makes new movies or whatever.

Uh, Ultimate_DB_Fan...you're just looking for an argument with that. And it's not even true either. Neither is the inverse *ahem*
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Because Z is the only part of Dragon Ball that exists, and there's no such thing as video game exclusive plot-lines. There's also no such thing as innovative gameplay.</sarcasm>

I just realized (well about two months ago), my highschool has a HUGE painting of TRUNKS in the gym. It is so freakin' awesome! He is in his Super Saiyan form and has a basketball in his hand. So every time I have gym I can look up at him
I guess it's not exactly what this thread is all about, but it's Dragonball, and I think its freakin' awesome!

I'm a sub fan and I'd say that Faulconer Production's score is better,
outside of Dragon Ball Z. Kikuchi's score works so much better inside of it.

I'm not being snarky. Compare the DB and GT brand games to the DBZ brand ones.

I think I'm with you on this as far as to say I can't listen to the Kikuchi score outside of the show. I enjoy it because of the way it builds up the scenes and emotions within the show but alone it's just...awkward sounding to me. I think that's partly due to length and how they put like 4 songs in one track.

That's precisely why I think that Faulconer Production's score is better outside of DBZ. I'm able to listen to it on it's own.

I don't get the music debate at all. I can listen to all kinds of music myself.
I can even listen to Faulconer's track. But I won't enjoy it.
It's because of that I only listen to quality music. And no one from the music industry would call Faulconer's music for quality music either.
At least I have the balls to admit that the original score had more quality in it, even though it isn't so modern anymore.
But then, I still listen to classical music and old scores from old TV-series and movies, aswell a new ones, so I know what I talk about.

Yes, I probably can in the near future ;D But I do not go back to school until August 30th, then we are going on a trip the whole week, so it might be a little bit

If you don't mind me asking, how did
you not realize Trunks was in your gym sooner?

You're speaking for an entire industry full of people with varying taste. Moreover said industry is based on what sells and what's hot not on actual artistic merit. There are tons of reasons to hate on the dub score, but using a hypothetical situation where the fucking
music industry doesn't care for it is not one of them.
It's all subjective anyway. I like it. It's not Dragon Ball. The original score is better, and yes, has much higher quality. But it's not bad
music. Its actually pretty unique. I haven't heard anything like it before or since.

Well, I am just starting high school

And I've been to my high school lots of other times of different things but I was always so busy doing the stuff when I was there I guess I never took note of the paintings on the gym walls

Also, I have BLONDE MOMENTS.....

They were doing a show that didn't have that cult status in America as it did in Japan. They wanted to suck in as many kids as possible. What's the best way to do that?
Make it "cool". Make it "refreshing". Add some nonsensical techno tunes and barf a couple of instruments into it (which was a genre which was very popular at that time), and it will be great!
Sadly, I have heard much more original and better tracks and songs that make Faulconer's track seem like amateur work.
And they are made by normal people, not people that do it as a profession.
In any sense, Faulconer's track wasn't in any sense a musical sensation, nor was it by any means a score that's enjoyable by people who know music. My bet was that he was cheap to hire and that Funimation didn't give a crap anyways, as long as it sounded "hippety hip", like the music the "young 'uns listen to these days".
And from what I've heard from most fans of the score; they don't give much attention to quality anyways.
