Waooh My childhood! Cool surprise. It's interesting if Funi do some Bluray releases of that kind, with old (sometimes old, old, old) animes We can maybe see one day the first series Dragon Ball, or Dr Slump in BR ^^ If Speed Racer can have a Bluray Release, DB1 too (and that relase of SR can encourage that) !
Astro Boy can be cool too...
Pretty much confirms what we've already known for several months. When is it getting released? That is the million dollar question.

He mentioned dubbing the exact same scene back in January on Kyle Hebert's "Big Bald Broadcast". They have been dubbing it for quite a while now, I assume it'll be out next year, they may announce it in December or something.
Does anyone know if Funimation usually dubs all of a show before releasing it? I've been curious about that Lee. Even though Sean lives in California surely hes had the opportunity to record more in the 5 months it was since Jan. so why would he say that he JUST recorded it a couple months ago when he did way back in Jan. either the dub is really far behind or Sean is lying.

People say couple all the time without meaning 2, so I wouldn't reach much into it. And yeah FUNimation dub shows way before release. For example Fairy Tail Part 16 was scheduled for home release late August and yet it was scheduled for subscribers in June (however it did get moved to a few weeks before the home release but it it was obvious they had it dubbed and ready to go)
It could simply be down to the fact that FUNi are still dubbing, and them not wanting to announce any more than one Dragon Ball product at a time. "F" is the priority to them - it is new content, and Kai is simply DBZ recut.
As much as we've all been eager to get it, to them, it is fairly low key and not high on their list of priorities. I'm sure if "F" hadn't have been released this year, they would've had the first set out by now, or at the very least, announced it.
I'm sure we will see FUNi start releasing "The Final Chapters" at some point next year - with them announcing their release schedule 3 months in advance, don't be surprised to see them announce it before the end of the year.
The fact that Manga UK are releasing "F" on Blu Ray October 26th, and FUNi's rumored date the 20th - they would more than likely want to move on swiftly and start the Pre-Orders for Kai before the end of the year, especially with Christmas coming up.
Tobi555 wrote:You really think Funimation will have pre-orders up before this year is done? You seem pretty confident XD I hope your right
If they are planning on releasing the 1st part early 2016, then they will announce it around December, as they announce their releases 3 months in advance.

To be fair, those just happen to be the final sets from both of the respective series, so maybe no malice was intended (though it's hysterical to think so). Either way, this isn't as bad as one of Funi's sales last month showing a picture of one of the Dragon Boxes in the Facebook post. That was just plain mean.

Probably around the part where Goku and Vegeta duke it out. But I'm just wild guessing.

They've at least done up to whatever Kai episode corresponds with Z's #262. Schemmel has spoken many times about how much he enjoyed recording the scene in Kai where Goku says goodbye to Gohan before he heads to Earth. This was first mentioned back in Janurary, however, so they may well be done by this point. It depends how Revival of F affected scheduling.

Sure hope FUNimation announces the Boo saga later this year. 2016 at the latest is when it will likely release. But do you think they will release DBZ Kai seasons 5, 6 or however there may be for Boo saga during, or after the Toonami airings?
