As for the bang thing: it wasn't that uncommon with the old sheets to leave it out. Rosé was just a repurposed Goku sheet, but that was always drawn right. Maybe there's a note about it on the expression sheets.
Hopefully it's like his RF gi when he turns aura on the colour of the outfit changes accordingly. (I'm glad they did that with SSGSS.E)BlueBasilisk wrote:Looks real good!Vegeta looks much better with this darker suit. Contrast makes a world of difference.

I wonder how it will look in motion but to tell the truth I prefer SSJ Blue with a turquoise tone.

Somehow SSB Vegeta forehead seems even bigger than normally is, but maybe it's from the angle.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

The designs look DB, but have a new vibe to them that I really like.
And I like the darker shade of blue for SSB.

Can someone show me an example of SSB Gokus bangs from super? Apparently someone said the new designs do not have them. I just want a more clear example, thank you.

The use of the bang was rather inconsistent up until the U.S arc were it was a lot more consistent with SSGSS Goku, here few examples:budokaifanatic007 wrote:Can someone show me an example of SSB Gokus bangs from super? The bang has also been used pretty consistently in merchandise and merch art:

here is the SS drawing with no bang:

That prior scene with the Koudai Watanbe designs weren't any worse art wise than the other scenes I linked. The other ones were simply more detailed.jeffbr92 wrote:JazzMazz wrote:Isn't your avatar a character from Saint Seiya?
Yes, it's the Gold Saint Aquarius Camus.
That's what I'm talking about, it didn't need to sacrifice art in order to get good motion in these animated scenes, that's what DB series need most.Anyway, this was following unique designs by Koudai Watanabe in a one off special. Here's some examples of what his action looks like using more detailed designs(still from One Piece).

Wouldn't worry about the new designs sacrificing art(whatever you actually mean by that). The new designs hold up nicely in comparison to the DB designs that came prior from an artistic standpoint.

Re: Dragon Ball Movie 20 - Animation Hub
I rewatched this cut that Yutaka Nakamura did for BNHA last episode so many times by now:

The manga version of this scene is nothing like that. I love how over-the-top he can be and those impact frames are also <3
Considering how over-the-top DB fights can be, It would be cool if somehow he did something for the Movie. It wouldn't be the first time.
More character designs should come out soon.

Re: Dragon Ball Movie 20 - Animation Hub
I would appreciate it if the fighting in this movie showed more form and technique rather than just fast flurries of punches in loops. I’d like to actually see each punch, kick, maneuver all with unique movement.
I feel like with the fact that in DB, characters can fly around and fight super fast, we mostly lack those slowed down moments where each attack or dodge matters and we can see how each attack or dodge affects the character.
In this movie, they dont even have to keep it slow. They can do it but they can animate a scene and just speed it up to match the speed of the characters.
I hope its not too much to ask

I called it that Gogeta, Bardock, and something Broly related would be in the movie before it was even announced that it was a Broly movie.

I agree. The original martial arts choreography in DB was amazing. Given the new animation style, I hope we'll see more technique rather than just a fury of punches and kicks. They usually just repeat action sequences due to this.AnimeNation101 wrote:I would appreciate it if the fighting in this movie showed more form and technique rather than just fast flurries of punches in loops. Re: Dragon Ball Movie 20 - Animation Hub
It’ll be interesting to see if this movie can manage to receive a wider release in the United States compared to BoG and RF. I’m not expecting a full wide release, but given that Super seems to be pretty popular over here, it wouldn’t completely surprise me.
