It's cool Codii. Those balls are pretty sweet too. Especially since you can get all 7 for the same price as 1 of the 1:1 scale balls. I had a hard time decided which route I wanted to go with, but in the end chose the 1:1 because if I'm going to collect something, I'm gonna go all out. And because of the price, I'll just get them 1 at a time. The feeling of getting the 7th ball will be a lot more rewarding than just getting all 7 in one purchase.

I was thinking about buying the set of seven and keeping the 4 star for myself. Then I could use the other 6 to make three sets of bookends which I could give away as presents to friends. Those are smaller than I thought they were, but still would probably work.

Here's a youtube video of someone else who has the smaller version from the ebay link:

True! Thank you for pointing that out! I'll just attack all seven in June when the real expendable cash starts coming in!

That is so awesome! How long have you been collecting those figures for? All those DX figures *drool*. At first I was only going to collect some HSCF figures because they looked great and didn't have bases. But I'm starting to rethink things because the bases aren't bothering me as much anymore. Speaking of which, those are HSCF figures on the bottem left corner of the picture right? Why do they have bases?

They shouldn't have bases, if so then they're bootleg. But you told us you got them from a crane game right Legendary?

The figures that LOOK like HSCF, in the bottom left of the second picture, are fake. The paint job on them is horrid and they just look like crap. A couple of them don't look too bad but they are obvious fakes. The Banpresto DBZ figures, from the crane game, I never opened. The reason for that was because I thought that maybe I could make trades with them, since I got so many of them, down the road but I kinda got overwhelmed with my collection and had to move them into a storage unit.

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't realize HSCF figures didn't have bases. I might very well have gotten something like that by mistake. While there are certainly some obvious bootlegs out there, some look pretty good. Especially to a collecting n00b.

I started collecting June of 2010, so I'm actually a fairly new collector myself. When I started collecting the HQDX figures were just about sold out everywhere, so trying to collect them now is going to be a nightmare.

You can check here:
BBTS

Go!
They are very good for buying if you just want a single figure, not so much if you want a group of figures.

Another site I use for info is: Chubby Chicken

Dragonball info here on this board: read through all the pages
Oh, yesssss

Look back through the "What's your most recent Dragonball purchase" and "Official show off your Dragonball crap" threads. Youll find tons of fun pics and collections and information on figures too. I chronicled my beginnings as a collector through there so for sure you should check those out.

Another helpful user to talk to about this on this board is Mike. I look up to him as a toy authority of sorts.

Helpful listings:

GO TO THIS YEAH!

Go go go

Go!

Why won't you go!?!?!?

I'm fat.

As for HSCF, they don't have bases and don't buy 4 for 20$ or under, and you should be ok.

 You really do have that same pinball machine! Except I only lost the figures that go on it, whereas it looks like you tore the feet off of some of them...you murdering bastard! jk. I wish the pinball balls were painted to look like Dragonballs though. It would have been a nice touch.
