The thing is he's not doing it intentionally, its just happening. The only thing I can think of is that his body is giving off so much energy that its creating a barrier around him. It either has something to do with Black's corrupted powers being magnified by the fusion or unlocking new ones.....or it could because they fused while Black was SSR and Fused Zamasu's body is unstable yet held together by his immortality.

Well the preview translation says that Zamasu is so rapt up in his own awesomeness that he isn't even trying to defend himself yet our heroes can't get anywhere near him due to this "light aura" he's giving off.

We've had villains like Cell who just take hits without noticing bu this is a whole other level, a guy so powerful that his aura alone is preventing him from being attacks even when he's not paying any attention!

True! I would really love that! The reason that they can't even get near him, is from his mere power alone! And that it's something he doesn't even intentionally do or even put any effort in! It was the same with Whis in episode 16 where Vegeta said his ki is so intense, it won't even let me get near him! So basically he emits that "everything destroying" energy without even consciously chosing to do so..

Because he's immortal and he's a fan favorite already.

Being a fan favorite doesn't mean he will return. Toriyama may do the opposite to spite the fandom. And Freeza was a fan favorite and it took Toriyama over twenty years to bring him back and humiliate and kill him.

Super is absolutely full of fan service and we also know Toriyama is at least somewhat responsive to suggestions from the editorial department for story ideas, so if Zamasu is just sealed away then him coming back is totally possible.

A few of the other characters being shown after Zamas? Sure, why not. But hopefully interacting with the mains as well. So, Gohan, Piccolo, Kuririn can all come back in my opinion. But not like "okay, now its their time" but combine them with those who are the mains anyway.

Any about the fanservice: Dragon Ball Super in its entirety is fan service. This term should not be used so negative all the time.

After thinking about it. I think that this arc could end soon but that it won't be the end of Zamasu.

Think about it, if Zeno "destroys" Zamasu, everyone will think that they have won, but as Zamasu is inmortal, he could easily reappear and make an even better plan before attacking, and what about if this time he decides to attack in the main timeline?
In this case, i could really see every single god of destruction involved as Toriyama said.

That's been on my mind for some time now. Even after this arc, I can say that I see Zamasu returning in the (far) future. With immortality on his side, I hope that'll be used sometime down the line to have him get his revenge, and unlike Frieza, I don't think training will be needed to combat them, because you know...immortality.

The only way I see the jar having a huge impact still is Trunks using the Mafuba to seal Zamas momentarily, while Vegito kamehameha's the jar. Anyone with Mafuba knowledge know what effect this would have?
If SKai or Gowasu just time ring back and grab the seal and that's how Zamas gets sealed I'll be highly disappointed.

After reading that next ep preview, I have to say Super is doing a brilliant job of making Zamas a believable villain. A rogue God making a "0-mortals plan" initially sounds lame but they sell it soooo well when Zamas is too self-absorbed to even bother paying attention to attacks. You're like okay, I can see this self-absorbed POS thinking his "ideal world" is worth murdering pretty much every living being.

While I did not want it to happen, with the fact that Zamasu is becoming more and more self absorbed and deluded about his statues as the supreme god, it would be funny for Vegito to get his ass kicked then Zeno shows up to show why he's the omni-king.

Both the Manga and Anime have got the plot point and we know Toriyama doesn't work ahead but it isn't impossible that's just the case. Either way I'm down to play, just want to see his power!

Inb4 Dragon Ball Heroes gives him Super Saiyan Rose 3 and 4, and even you grow tired of him.
I think Super actually did justice to his character, ending his character on a high note, unlike someone who returns with his daddy after turning himself into a cyborg and then returns again after "training" for 4 months, only to die in a even more pathetic way than the last time.

Guys, in the promo, we see merged Zamasu use this wall of light pretty much intentionally. I think that in the next episode we will see Zamasu try his new body and his new power, that's all.

I will miss Black Goku too. His design is far better than merged Zamasu
