Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I'm completely on the train of having Vegetto return. He was a great character that was on the screen for so short time, and even when he was, he was never shown his full potential against an opponent (Gohan-absorbed Majin Boo).
The current scenario in this arc is completely different, though. The god is immortal and it would take all of Vegetto's strength to even exhaust Zamasu's power. If the description of Goku for Episode #66 is any indication and having fused didn't bring Vegetto to a full strength, it's a high possibility that he'd die from performing Mafuba. This is a chance to see him use all of his potential against Zamasu.
And stop complaining about sacrificing Goku and Vegeta's interaction because of one time fusion. You have had a lot of Goku and Vegeta's screen times during Super's run. Let's let Vegetto appear for the sake of appreciating his character. I swear you are getting a bit greedy.

Pretty much this. In addition, I don't see the logic behind saying Goku should always stay the main character of Dragon Ball, and then complaining about him and Vegeta getting too much screentime. But yes, Vegetto should definitely appear, since Gogeta had two appearances, and Vegetto one.DragonBalllKaiHD wrote:And stop complaining about sacrificing Goku and Vegeta's interaction because of one time fusion. It's Goku Black. Ningens can't screw up. Even in the anime he would always look cool.Anime Kitten wrote:That... actually looks surprisingly good. It doesn't overdo the chibi element, but it's there. The detail is nice, too.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:First Rosé Black figure...

B. If it is real this doesn't deconfirm Vegetto.

So... No Vegetto and Goku will likely get the main kill? Lame, but not enough as it would be if Zeno show up and finished Merged Zamasu, I guess
I don't get your point, please explain.ekrolo2 wrote:Saying Super Saiyan inherently makes you angry & too violent after we spent the last chunk of the Android arc establishing that as being not true at all through mastery of the SS state to bring back an obsolete technique is pretty stupid if you ask me. Where are people even getting this from? The arc isn't necessarily over after this.

KK was nothing but a stalling method so Goku didn't immediately die against Vegeta & Freeza and its boost was outweighed by its many faults. When Super Saiyan came around, it became completely obsolete. To me, its stupid to bring it back purely for dumb fanservice and to make Goku vs Hit infinitely less interesting than it could have been by simply having Goku make up the difference by *gasp* powering up!Noah wrote:I don't get your point, please explain.
Not to mention the retcons they introduce to retroactively explain why a worthless, obsolete technique suddenly isn't worthless and obsolete.

Herms' doesn't recognize the magazine and can't confirm if it's real. So it could be a really good fake. I guess people are just dumb. They see one single episode title (when the arc clearly doesn't end there) and make all those assumptions for some reason.Anime Kitten wrote:Vegetto.Noah wrote:So... I anxiously await UCF figures of him.
Re: greedy?
If it's "greedy" for me to not want Vegetto to show up, doesn't that also make those who do want him "greedy" as well?
That's just looking for negative ways to spin a difference of opinion.
You can't convince others that your opinion is better by saying their opinion is bad. All opinions are opinions. Nobody wins.
I won't be upset if Vegetto shows up, but I'd rather something new be used to defeat Merged Zamasu.

Nah, Toei did a great job there.ekrolo2 wrote:

Not to mention the retcons they introduce to retroactively explain why a worthless, obsolete technique suddenly isn't worthless and obsolete.
They brought back Kaioken, explained why Goku never used it before and why it was risky to use it again.
Meanwhile, the manga version is underwhelming and pales in comparison.
This is a battle shonen. If Goku and Vegeta just trained 3 years in the Time Chamber, it makes sense they come out with new powers.
It's already stupid Vegeta came out without something new. You can't tell if he really got much stronger, because we don't know how strong Frost, Magetta and Cabba are supposed to be. While with Goku, seeing him use something new like SSB+Kaioken, you can tell it right away.
Super desperately needed a moment that stood out from the rest and made everyone talk about it by good reasons, and they did it right there.
If we were hoping for the manga to do a scene like that, we would be doomed.

I hate everything about it. The explanation is total nonsense with what was shown/stated in Z and the technique was benched for a good reason: it was useless and it shouldn't have been brought back. I only like the manga one slightly better because the powers there make a whole ass load sense than the anime ever will but it's not particularly good there either.FortuneSSJ wrote:Nah, Toei did a great job there.

DB in the Z-era became far too dependent on a character having a convenient power up to turn a one-sided fight more in their favor. This isn't how Hit vs Goku should've gone down. Instead of cramming KK through shitty retcons so Goku can just power up again, having him adapt to Hit's growing Time Skip by using what smarts & abilities he has available to him would have made for a far more interesting battle.
Goku would be forced to anticipate techniques even further ahead of time, putting him in a constant, tense battle where one wrong move can get his ass kicked out of the ring. Maybe even have Goku start testing out IT and doing some cool stuff there as a counter to Time Skip would have made for an interesting application of a relevant technique.
But nope! They just went the lazy route, as always, and just gave him another power up that barely makes any sense just so he can keep up with Hit! Because fuck-tension and organic limitations, ass pulls is where its all at *spits*.

I do remember Black saying Zamasu's energy was decreasing after he escaped from the jar...I wonder what that means, so it is possible that while he is immortal he can still expend all of his KI, this could make Vegetto necessary. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong. I still feel like there's a side-effect to Zamasu's immortality. Either that or they will go an make a tailsman to seal him in for good, but weakening him before doing the Mafuba might just be the key to winning this battle.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Thank God the title that Zeno would appear and kills Zamasu is fake...
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I agree; I'd be happy if we don't even see Zeno again until the next tournament.
I want to see Future Trunks be the one to land the finishing attack on Zamasu so much!
