Bulma is still censored too.



The entire book is just a copy and paste of the Viz big, the only differences are the cover, paper quality, and the removal of all the colour inside.

Anyways, I'm glad Bulma is censored in this release. I prefer my Dragon Ball without child pornography.

Perhaps they CAN'T release Bulma uncensored because she's under-aged?

But then again, my local library had/has an English release with Bulma uncensored.

It is just a poor quality VizBig, there's honestly no differences between the two when it comes to censorship.

I don't know, I love my VizBigs. This entire time, I was thinking that this sounds pretty much like a repackaging of the VizBigs...didn't know it would be worse. Plus with the full colored manga release, I thought there was a tiny glimmer of hope that this would be fully colored. Ohs well, keeping my VizBigs for now.

As for the censoring, maybe they meant dialog? Although as far as I know the translation wan't that far off anyway. I have the original Japanese manga, so I theoretically do have the "uncensored" version.

I've been reading it side-by-side with the VizBig, and so far it has the exact same translation.

God Dammit I just bought 5 Viz Bigs. I held off for so long to find out an uncensored release is happening.

Well depending on possible dialogue being uncut may decide whether I'll feel like an idiot. I could care less about the censoring of Goku's balls or Bulma. I find it stupid to censor the middle finger (but not that bad). I do hate how Mr. Satan is named Hercule, Vegetto is Vegerot, and Satan City being Herculopolis. Chi and Ki are the same, but I prefer ki. Only the future will tell if this new crappier paper release will make me feel stupid for spending too soon.

Well it seems like they have lied to us, but I will continue buying the 3-in-1s to see if anything changes.


Not sure if this has been posted before, but it looks like the cover art of volume 4 of the Kanzenban will be the cover for the second 3-in-1 release.

Well, Viz. I've defended you before; looks like I won't be doing it again... I'm not even upset by the book being a lower-quality printing; I'm mostly disappointed by the book still being censored despite being advertised as "uncut & uncensored."

Can't they be sued for flat-out misleading false advertisement? I mean it's not like it was just some side comment by a representative or something, but an ACTUAL ADVERTORIAL STATEMENT slapped on ads AND the back covers of these products.

From what I've seen... Yeah, they lied. If they had changed something besides the covers, I wouldn't say that they lied, but since they apparently didn't change anything regarding the dialog or the censorship, yeah, they lied.
