Kinda disappoited we have another Freeza race guy. I would accept him much better if ROF didn't happen. At least, I hope Toriyama does something interesting with him, because Freeza couldn't have been handled worse.
Goku said Freeza would make a good rival, if he wasn't so bad. I wonder if that will come full circle with that mini Gohan or Goku himself. Also it would be cool, if this guy has been training for years, unlike Freeza.
Not interested in the purple guy and Pooh. But the Robot gives me Chrono Trigger Vibes. Chrono made his debut as SSG Goku and now Robo joins the party (When will square make a remake of this?! They got a lot of hate this year at E3, by this fanbase)

Going to the same trope-well only works so many times. Monaca really feels like Toriyama is pushing his luck.
What luck?! Most of the things Toriyama did since he came back, got a lot of hate from the same people that have been begging for his return, all this years.
Maybe I used the wrong turn of phrase? Maybe something like "over-saturation of shock value" works better than "pushing his luck". If something is done similarly enough times and that thing is being done to surprise people then over time you lose that very element of surprise? Something like that I think I mean.
Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.
I wonder, if the online Dragonball fandom was as it is today when Toriyama's Manga was in serialisation, how much uproar would there have been when Fat Buu first appeared?

And yet there are many fans who bitched about the fact that the Saiyans are running the show and want something different. Then they turn back a minute later and say they want more Super Saiyans. Many fans were actually hoping that Broly and Bardock would be a part of U6 team. The fanbase talk outside of both sides of their neck.

Cause it looks stupid i mean i understand its toriyama thing but even then it just feels lazy and too predictable
That might be the point though, he looks like a stupid looking character with puffy nipples that you can't picture as being a match for Beerus and stronger than SSJG and then next thing you know he'll transform.
I wouldn't say it's lazy or predictable either. Nobody said he'd look like an imp.

There would many fans would would flat out quit watching this series. I can just imagine it now on YouTube, "This fatass pink, cape wearing blob is more powerful than the cool looking Cell!? Fuck this shit, I'm done."

No. Manga says it's the same rules of the tournament, but they're apparently ignoring the "no protective gear" rule, since Vegeta has his battle armor, and there's the obvious robot.

It would be a funny twist If after all this years, Monaca is not that strong anymore and will end up being beaten, like the weakling he looks like to be.
A lot of people are expecting him to have a badass tranformation, but with Toriyama you never know.
I expect this tournament to go until the end (or only get interrupted in the last round) and I want to be surprised.
Besides 23rd TB (Poor Goku deserves to win one), all Toriyama's tournaments have been shitting on shonen tropes. I hope U7 loses and things go down.

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.
Favourite old DB Animators: Masaki Sato and Tadayoshi Yamamuro
Favourite new DB Animators: Yuya Takahashi and Chikashi Kubota

I'm actually curious about this concept..
This Zarama being. They said it was a "Dragon God"..? So some type of God.. Or is it more akin to a Shenron Type Being that appears when you collect all 7 Balls and grants your wish? (But then ofcourse an upgraded one)

He's a dragon who also happens to be a god, like Demigra who's a Demon God. Though it would be weird if he created the balls and then sealed himself inside them so he could appear to grand wishes.

It's kind of stupid to complain about the kid saiyan. He literally only has the hair in common. His face, body, and clothes are clearly different. Not that weird for someone to share haircuts in real life either

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

I hope you're right about that.
But are we even really sure about it?? Right now all we have to go by is the Korean translation. Which may have some mistranslations.
I can see why people might dislike/like some designs or all designs, it's subjective. How some opinions are presented is obnoxious, relentlessly attacking the designs and in some cases the author. How is a design stupid? Is stupidity something visible? I can feel the hate oozing out of some posts. It's not nice.
I for one love the Monaca design. Every time I look at him/her/it, I can't stop thinking how he can destroy the Universe and has huge nipples... It's so silly and charming at the same time. I also like the Saiyan. The rest, don't attract me that much. Even if the Freeza look-alike looks pretty cool.
I will wait for their personalities. I think the designs are closely related to their personalities. The same way people grew to like Beerus, with it's cat mannerisms and what have you.
