It would be hilarious if did. But there's no chance of Kale and Caulifla kissing on what's basically a Sunday morning animated show.emperior wrote:Considering they sort of had Kid Mai kissing Future Trunks this might actually happen.precita wrote:I bet if they have Caulifa and Kale kiss and advertise it in the previews ahead of time, it would cause a HUGE bump in ratings.

Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
This thread is pointless. If the ratings don't affect Super as long as its in the top ten what is there to discuss? To see weekly numbers that don't affect the show's duration? Please.
Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
A kiss would be fine. We're in 2017, not 1995. It's not taboo anymore in the developed world.TheMikado wrote:I expect a questionable hug with a bit of innuendo.Lord Beerus wrote:It would be hilarious if did. Well SansrivaaL you got your wish...SansrivaaL wrote:DBS would probably reach top 3 but thats about the best that it can reach imo, still I hope it will at least have 100 eps. DBS beating OP seems impossible now..
Even if it wasn't in the top ten the ratings wouldn't matter still. It was created just for interest like the box office numbers thread for Resurrection "F" but people started to take these ratings seriously every week.Vegeta123 wrote:This thread is pointless. Yeah cuz everyone is suddenly gonna tune into watch Dragon Ball a fighting show in the midst of a tournament cuz it has someone kissing in it.... Why don't they have Kale and Caulifla show full boob while they're at it too, that way the show will hit no 1 with 15%!!!precita wrote:I bet if they have Caulifa and Kale kiss and advertise it in the previews ahead of time, it would cause a HUGE bump in ratings.

I'm not sure what anime you're familiar with, but lesbian kissing (or worse, fanservice gropping, hugging, sexual stuff) is very common in anime.Lord Beerus wrote:It would be hilarious if did. It's just that Dragonball has not much on-screen romance because Toriyama didn't care to put it in the manga. Toei always added stuff like this in the anime though.

Re: Caulifla and Kale
Last weekend's episode of Precure was all about Akira and Yukari's for kids version of Haruka and Michiru from Sailor Moon's relationship.
A kiss probably won't happen, but dancing together and declarations of love may.

But given the nature of when Super airs, I don't think you should expect any strong undertone of Kale and Caulifla having an intimate relationship. I mean, Super already got complaints of Roshi's tame advances on Yurin from Episode 89. Do you really think they'll be able to sneak a lesbian kiss under Super's radar?

Also, no it isnt. Homosexual kissing, I mean. Either that or I want examples, because Japan isnt really all that progressive. Even late night anime are under major scrutiny.
Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
I thought homosexuality is still not well seen in Japan, is that wrong?

I don't know if it's right or wrong, but wrong or right, anime isn't representative of the wider culture.emperior wrote:I thought homosexuality is still not well seen in Japan, is that wrong?

Amazing BNHA jumped rankings and is now below DBS, Pokemon what happened?

Glad I did and it looks like it wont end anytime soon... also glad I was wrong about it not being able to beat OP, if it happened once it can happen againBaggie_Saiyan wrote: Well SansrivaaL you got your wish...And it beat OP once...!!

Ratings are out.

Not saying it's a trend, because One Piece is pretty low as well. I wonder what's happening.

Cracker vs Luffy was complete garbage, not surprised OP decreased.
17 is a character that cant draw flies it seems.
Hero Academia out of the top 10, I guess last week they were only interested in Stains last stand.

Wow, only a 4.5. Is that the lowest ratings for Super yet?
There's been a real downward trend in ratings ever since the start of this tournament arc. I wonder if it'll improve as we get to the end of it.

It's kind of ironic the Universe survival arc is on track to be Super's lowest-rated saga yet. I guess now that Super is 2 years old the initial shock of a new Dragonball series has worn off in Japan, so it's not going to have people tune in week after week.

Give Brianne a new transformation and make her 100% pretty, that will sell merchandise.
