So I saw the mook rush in Portuguese (as well as the rest of the film). I'm gonna withhold a full opinion til I see the full Japanese with subs or English dub. Though from a purely animation stand point I've seen it all.

I only thought the mook rush was ok. Fun to see the characters all battling out, but it still felt so slow and fake at times. More so slow. I don't feel like this was a battle of 1000. I feel like it was a battle of like 10 or so people taking turns, while others are clearly shown in the animation to be standing around watching. Only highlights for me were Jaco spin laser and team up with Krillin, Muten Roshi getting kicked in the head while preparing Kamehameha (then firing it with one hand), Piccolo throwing his clothes at the mooks, and of course Gohan's pressure point move where all the mooks look motionless from his view. Very disappointed the Shisami bout was so short. Especially annoyed how Piccolo was doing fine, and then they had to have Gohan take out Shisami and make Piccolo look bad. I thought they wanted to stall for Goku? Why is Gohan making things worse? Of course the point was to make Gohan look strong so Freeza can show how weak everyone is in comparison to him. Though still not impressed in mook of the week being beaten.

Funny enough Jaco got a bunch of people eaten by a giant fish. What happened to not getting the mooks killed? Some attacks look like they shoulda killed people, like that big blast Gohan shot. Also did Freeza really kill all the mooks? He only seemed to just kill the pile in front of him. I'm sure there's more scattered around in different areas. I don't think the crater he left killed every mook. It wasn't that big.

The Brazilian dub has Freeza say that only Gohan was sparing his enemies. The summary here implies that everyone was sparing their enemies but the 'F' script says it was only Gohan too.

Well Krillin seemed to as well. He threw a Kienzan at a cliff. Funny enough while in the Manga it looked like he hit someone via collapsing rock, in the movie he seems to MISS entirely. Or they just did censorship on that. Funny how Kienzan bad...but squashing people into paste which will kill them is A-Ok.

Kuririn probably was. But I highly doubt Piccolo was.

The way it's phrased sounds like Muten Roshi wants everyone to survive, and not stall. Though if it's stalling I wonder why it looks like they keep trying to take everyone out, and why Gohan would one shot Shisami if the point was to just stall.

How long can they stall for anyway? Freeza said he'd only give them 10 seconds and we're supposed to believe that the entire fight took place in those 10 seconds.

Let's be honest. ToriToriyama needs to stop making Freeza tell time. The fight was at least ONE minute DBZ time . 30 seconds maybe.

I think Freeza was just lying. He just wanted to rush them. Once the fight started he was entertained. He pretty much knew his forces were fucked, saying Gohan alone could beat everyone. The mook rush is pretty much Freeza gladiator entertainment.

I do think at the very least we deserve to know why this isn't possible when places a lot smaller have managed to pull it off.
We do deserve to know why we aren't getting it, but Manga UK are not going to tell us. Surely, a weekend up and down the country isn't ridiculously difficult to organise? are the Cinema companies that hard to deal with?.
No one else seems to have problems apart from the UK, and the buck stops with the distributor.

I take the 10secs as a fact tho, there are only 1000 soldiers, 10 seconds seems more than enough time for Piccolo/Gohan/Krillin/Tien/Roshi/Jaco to finish em off. Its just TOEI making the fight longer than its supposed to be.

Can someone please direct me to the source where it is stated that SSJGSSJ Goku+SSJGSSJ Vegeta can challenge 100% Beerus, and can beat 70% Beerus individually?

No such thing is ever stated for the second thing. For the first though, Whis just says that together they may have a chance of beating Beerus and Beerus gets scared for a second.

Was that stated in the film only, or does it appear in another source?

Whis: “You two really don’t get along well at all. If only you teamed up, why, you could even fight on par with Lord Beerus.”
Beerus: “Put a lid on it, Whis.”

Was able to watch the film, seems the humor and action were better than BoG's, but some plot points made it a worse movie for me albeit not by much.
Tim Duncan is dope and forever.

So has the movie been announced for any more markets lately? They said it'd be released in 70 countries but I think only 26 countries have had a release date given.

Hey, US people. Sorry if someone already said something, but Funi says that tickets are going on sale on Friday in this tweet (may also be on their blog/Facebook/ect.): https://twitter.com/FUNimation/status/6 ... 4530878464

It looks like some showtimes and ticket info are popping up on Fandango as well. At least, it's up for my area: http://www.fandango.com/dragonballz:res ... movietimes. I'd say go ahead and see if you have something in your area. All I have for now is one of our local Carmikes, so it may be only Carmike locations for now. Of course, a more expansive theater list ought to be up on Friday.
