So are going to get some peacetime at Earth episodes before the start of the next arc? I want to see some eps of Gohan teaching and the rest of the humans.

The next arc isn't even being announced until December 17th or 18th and probably won't even start till late January.
Also we already saw that the cast goes back to the present in the next episode.

I'm really hoping that we'll get a Christmas special with the new arc starting after Christmas logically. I can't see there being many chances for it, with the filler running through Christmas, and especially considering it will air on Christmas Day.. Actually, does anybody know if Fuji TV will air DBS on Christmas Day, or does it air specials that will take Supers slot?

I'd known Christmas was a Sunday this year (holidays on weekends always feel like you're losing a day off) but I'm so used to associating Super with Saturday...I'd be excited to get an official Christmas Special (Toei's given Precure one for the past half a dozen years at least) but I won't get my hopes up.

I live in the UK so I associate Super with Sunday, even if it is only just turned Sunday when it airs now. This is the best chance they've got as it is very likely the new arc won't start until after Christmas, and it airs on Christmas Day itself. But like you said, it's best not to get our hopes up.

We're most likely getting an episode on December 25th. Christmas isn't that important in Japan.
Definitely not in the next weekend, though. Series should come back on January 8th.
