Most likely. The character models look like glorified Raging Blast models.
Well, according to wikis ect, NB developed the game. Keep in mind that the game use GGPO and the NB-network with Banapass. Did Spike ever developed an arcade-game?

DB Xenoverse is not a DBZ simulator with fighting elements, it's a semi competent fighting/action game with DBZ simulation elements.

Pretty sure that's only for the trailer. How would that work if there was a 4 way beam struggle? How'd that work out for each person?
What about if it was a 2 vs 2 beam struggle? Like 2 teammates combine attacks?

That works. I wanna know how a 4 person (every person for themselves) beam struggle would work. How is that one determined?

The strongest beam'd be the victor.

Even though I've never played this game I'm starting to lose interest somehow.. :-/

Obviously. But I mean how would the other beams react? Will they be sent right back to the opponent? What if they all shot beam in a square arrangement (Like when Tenshinhan and his Multiform Counterparts did against Goku) and the struggle met in the middle? If there's one winner, where is the winning beam headed? This is really off topic but this baffles me.

I'd imagine that the winning beam would be fired at the opponent on the opposite side (like normal) , and the other beam(s) would just dissipate.

But how would a four way melee clash go down? Maybe the winner of that would simply knock the other three opponents back.

I feel like the first Movie with Broly shows this happening. Or something almost to that point.

I still have not seen the full extent of the melee. Do people just hate doing melee that much or is it terrible?

I don't think it's bad, it's just that people don't wanna use it.

I wish the environment boundaries were larger. The space isn't so big when you can fly around it in no time flat.

I need some clarification.
Who is the developer of Zenkai Battle Royale? It doesn't look like Spike to me, some people saying that Capcom is developing it.
I just can't find a reliable source of the confirmation of ZBR's developer.

I would go with Namco Bandai, but now I'm not so sure...

It could be like a reverse 4 way tug of war where the one with the least amount of power/button presses gets a 3 beam combo attack.

Hey what are the chances of this being ported to PS VITA? Say maybe early 2013? Cause I would love this game on Vita. What are your thoughts?

What's the chances of this getting ported at all is the real question.

The recent video from Nostal had them ask this question, and the chances seem to be getting slimmer. The response (paraphrased, too lazy to watch the video again) at first was something along the lines of "No, Heroes uses cards and we aren't bringing arcade machines over". lol Then after Super DBZ's port was mentioned, he clarified that "After Super DBZ, we learned we can't just port games over. There were complaints that it was 'just the same thing', so we'd have to think about new things we could add before we consider it".

Just the same thing to who, the Japanese? Japan aren't the ones buying these games anymore, and to the rest of the world Zenkai Battle Royale is a game no one has played.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

Try explaining that to the Namdai (?) guy. Almost everything he said during that interview, I wanted to slap him for. lol

He said "they can't just revisit the Sparking series by adding new characters, they need to do like they did with Raging Blast. Cut things down, add new features and 'make the fans think its new'". Bullshit. Go back to the Sparking Omega rumor; give us HD Meteor, add in the good elements from Raging Blast (Deflection, follow-ups, Super Rising, 4 customizable supers, etc.) and Ultimate Tenkaichi (Hero Mode, Boss Battles, Create-A-Character, Progressive Battle Damage, True Stage Damage, etc.), give us the new characters that have appeared in RB2/UT/Kinect and fill in some of the skipped essential gaps (Uub, Teen Goten and Trunks, Bio Broli, Kurieza, Z) and Heroes characters/transformations....package the game out as the final, ultimate installment, and then cut Spike from the payroll. lol

You literally just summed up what I think Namdai should do. Especially the last part... :P I don't understand why they wouldn't do this, I mean if thats what the fans want, why make them suffer with their mediocre crap. Hey, the Sparking games are way far from perfect, in fact they're essentially empty calories when compared to SDBZ and even the Budokai series, but at least they felt like games.

I bet you that most of those complaints are from people that didn't know how to play Super DBZ right. I remember most people on Gamefaqs in 2006 bitch about how the game was nothing like the Budokai games and I think most people thought the game was going to play like a Budokai game.
