Dimps didn't port the games to Gamecube, so it's likely they don't have the code.

I admit I'm a huge sucker for rerenders, particularly of 6th console generation games simply because they have enough detail that they actually benefit from the higher resolution. So seeing the improved lighting, character textures, and anti-aliasing (I would think it's anti-aliasing) in Budokai 3 and Budokai 1's just looking as clean and raw as it possibly could made me feel a little better about the "HD" in this package. And I'm actually interested to see how the soundtrack replacement will work this time.

Granted I don't own an HD console so it's moot for me (Pyramid Wii U port just cause please).

I've never really been interested in these HD collections before because I'm a bit iffy on how much better they look, but given that Budokai 2 is the only one in the trilogy I've never played, now I have absolutely no reason to check this out.

I wonder, will Budokai 1 HD be uncut with blood and whatnot?

Is it safe to assume we'll be getting the extra costumes that came with the Budokai 3 greatest hits? Also, I'm not bumbed about the lack of Budokai 2; it's not a bad game but it's not the best of the three. The only thing I'm bummed about is the lack of funny fusions: Goku and Mr. Satan; Tenshinhan and Yamcha; Buu and his non cannon absorptions. But, who is to say they wont carry them over for the HD collection?

That's so cool that they have the PAL versions of the budokai covers as the HD collection box art.

I have a feeling they wouldn't go to the extra effort. Maybe I'm just cynical though.

So, no Budokai 2 and no online play. What a joke.

I'm not counting on them moving Budokai 2 content over(however nice that would be), but I am expecting the most complete version of Budokai 3.

Yeah, if they're including the Japanese voices as an option, I would assume the re-released version of Budokai 3 is being used as the base, so I'd expect the few extra outfits... but not any carry-overs from Budokai 2, especially if online play isn't being tacked on.

I sure as hell will. As unpolished as it is, it's still going to be more fun to play than BT3.

I'm pretty sure my version of Budokai 3 has Japanese voices without the extra costumes, so I don't think it was the re-release that got them.

C'mon guy what's with all the hate on Budokai 3? I love that game :D Also is this song part of Yamamoto?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbirkGzJ-rg
See I thought the Japanese version of the game would have a different soundtrack and the American version had a different soundtrack. I know I'm probably wrong, I just love the music so much I don't want it removed. :(

The BT fans on YouTube have been saying they'd preferred a Budokai Tenkaichi HD Collection but they forget BT3 and the others have flaws, no DBZ game is perfect, though Dimps got the better of the Dragon Ball franchise.

BT3 is only good because it has a ton of characters to play with, and has the best gameplay out of the three Budokai Tenkaichi games.

To go back to BT3 then I'd rather keep playing RB2 with Kikuchi's music, there ain't no tag mode but at least it's pretty enjoyable (the music helped out a lot).

Disappointed there's no Budokai 2, can two things even be called a collection? Maybe they're saving it to package with Infinite World for the "Budokai games people hate for some reason" Collection.

If all three Budokai games were included I'd be more likely to pick this up around release, but with only two games I'll wait for it to be like $20 half a year later.

Eh... Makes no difference to me if this game doesn't have extra characters or multiplayer. I play mostly single player games anyway. I wonder if they're going to try and throw in some kinda special with this release? I highly doubt it, but you never know.

Y'know, this actually wouldn't surprise me. 4 games in one HD collection just isn't done, and assuming that they wanted all of the Dimps-developed games out in HD, it would make sense to release B3 and IW separately seeing as they're so similar, so the only option would be to either leave out IW altogether for a three-game release or have two non-consecutive collections so that the average Joe doesn't feel ripped off at basically paying for the same game twice over.
