Official On-Going DBZ 2013 Movie Thread: "Battle of Gods"

One thing we know for sure is that the villian is going to be super-powerful by showing Ultimate Gohan wearing a dougi right there. I wonder what kind of villian he is? It'll be intertesting once more information is revealed.

Let's hope the animation quality is better than the last two specials. D'ya think Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru will be one of the key animators for this film? If he does, I have no doubt that this film may be the best one.

I wouldn't put it past them to tie SS3 Goku, SS3 Vegeta, SS3 Gotenks, SS3 Future Trunks, SS3 Gogeta, and SS3 Broli into the special. =P I'd prefer new characters and plot again, but I will admit it'd be cool to see all of them animated in more than a commercial... *_*

While I don't dislike Brolli, I'd rather have a new villain. Brolli got to be the bad guy in three movies; four would be overkill.

I'm so glad that Toei is really going back to the symbol on Goku's shirt. For many years before the Yo! Son Goku and Friends, Goku was always without a symbol but since then, it has become popular again!

I'd rather Toei steer away from having them become SSj3. It's way too much, and I think SSj3 should be an unique transformation that no one uses except Goku and Gotenks. It's getting quite tiresome seeing all characters recieve same SSj3 transformation, especially Broli, even though he's one of my favorite characters. I'd prefer Toei do something new instead.

Slightly disappointed scarface, the three-eyed one, and the Chinese vampire aren't up there. Who is going to destroy the rocks? But Kuririn is up there with his old uniform. Aw yeah.

I think he's good the way he is. It keeps that Buu arc feel to him. (And besides he isn't bald when Goten and Trunks were young).

If AT is part of the writing then I doubt Broly will be in this movie. It won't make sense for him to add a Toei creation into the story since it's not even his creation.

If AT is part of the writing then I doubt Broly will be in this movie. It won't make sense for him to add a Toei creation into the story since it's not even his creation.

But AT did the design for Broli himself.

He design him but he didn't had nothing to do with his backstory. I'm pretty sure Toei was the one that created the idea behind the character. Not to mention I doubt he even remembers Broly since he design the character nearly 20 years ago and he is known for forgetting things .

Who knows. There were a lot of inconsistencies between the character designs on the JSAT poster and the final special. We'll just have to wait and see.

I can imagine a trip down memory lane? The art for it seems to be the same place Vegeta and Goku fought. I'd love to see them bragging about it to Goten and Trunks. And then Vegeta and Goku ending up in a quarrel.

I also would be prepared for this hyping about Toriyama not being so true. Toriyama never came any close to any sort of supervision of any of the movies or specials before, except for characters design. If he is supposed to have worked more than he did on there, the range of how much involvement he had may vary a lot.

Would you think Hirudegarn was that strong? Or that the movie had a poor balance of powers?

Of course this movie is supposed to have "deep involvement from Toriyama", but Toriyama is know for his forgetfulness, and it has been a long time since he finished Dragon Ball.
