This was a great chapter, Kaboom! Gohan became my favourite character from the Boo saga onwards so it was a real treat to see a chapter dedicated to him and his Saiyaman antics.

Just to keep this thread active, here's my review from FF.net

I thoroughly enjoyed reading every bit of this chapter, though it was far off from what I was expecting to see. Ya know, the crew in space and what not. But this was worth the wait. The description behind every move Gohan made was down right perfect. The poses, the matter of speaking. I could imagine it all clear as day.

And then the acquaintance with Erasa was quite the shock. Bass jumping eh? You paired her up with Sharpner I see. It's only right :p

Everything was so smooth and comedic and just made me laugh through out. But even after that whole chapter, that last paragraph made me smile and laugh out loud. That was amazing Kaboom. Just...just amazing *Breaks out into a slow clap*

Great filler chapter, I love the fact that Gohan has kept The Great Sayiaman going and it's good to see that he still keeps up with old friends.

I'm glad you like it, since this is essentially the formula I'll be using for the rest of the 'Grand Tour' portion of the story. We'll be going back and forth; between every adventure with Goku and company out in space, I'll shift things back to Earth so we can see what everyone else is up to. But most of the 'meanwhile-on-Earth' stories will be short single-chapter ones like this, since the hunt for the Black Star Dragon Balls really is the main plot above all else.

For the record, I didn't intend to imply that they were a couple, only that they keep in touch to some moderate degree as high school friends usually do. It's just that since Erasa was getting a cameo, it seemed fair to throw in a name-drop for Shapner along with it.

I guess because I didn't mean for it to be a "table of contents" type of thing. The only reason it contains so many links to past chapters and what-not was because before the Fan Works section was created and I made the thread, I had been posting them in the big universal FanWorks thread.

But now that you've mention it, what I probably should do is edit the post to include links to each of my individual posts where I've announced the new chapters. That way people can skip to see the extra material that goes with them instead of having to wade through the whole thread.

I have to repeat the sentiment, I loved this chapter. I won't lie though, initially, I was disappointed - I was ready to see where the main story went next. But if all your other 'filler' chapters are as well done as this one was, I won't have any complaints.

That and, I love Saiyaman and his antics. And it was great to see Erasa again, since I like what little of her we got in the series. It's weird - she and Shapner were both featured in the new opening that lasted all of Z but they got dropped fairly quick, but I guess it was required when the story switched back to something we were more used to with DB.

Anyway, great chapter as usual, and I eagerly await the next chapter - whenever that is.

Ah..gotcha...it just seemed like she was a bit too up to date with what he was doing and that he needed help with the reunion. At the least you were showing they didn't lose touch after high school/college. :p

I did this one in watercolors and watercolor pencils, both of which I'm kind of out of practice with. It turned out pretty good, though I think I still actually like my original mock-up in markers better.

Personally I must disagree with you there as the watercolor picture looks a lot more polished then the regular marker drawn version. Not to mention the use of watercolors is a perfect choice for a scene like this. You really did a fantastic job with the background, capturing the mood as dusk sets over the protected city.

Very entertaining little filler chapter there, Kaboom. It was nice to see Gohan take up the mantle of Great Saiyaman once again, and also nice to see Erasa. I always wished she and Sharpner would've had larger roles. They are, after all, basically his only friends, outside of Videl and the Z-fighters. I kinda hope to see that reunion in a future chapter.

Small kinda-sorta update: I've added a handy-dandy table of contents-like thingy to the first post of the thread. It contains links directly to the posts in which I've announced new chapters and their bonus goodies, for easy navigation. Obviously I'll try to remember to add to the list whenever a new chapter gets posted in the future. I may also slap together similar links after these ones to other in-between-chapter goodies as well.
