That's French Guiana. So I'm just assuming that they're using France's region since they're owned by them.

As for the fansub situation. I'm 99.9% sure that you'll see one and I doubt Toei will stream this one like they did with the special.
Be grateful the filler in Dragon Ball doesn't suck like the 3rd arc of Rurouni Kenshin.

I always wondered how that worked out, seeing as flying back and forth to Texas would be costly. I'm assuming the same with Hebert and Bailey, also.

I'll be watching this anyway, but it'd be nice to have subs by Toei, instead of a fansub group and have to read "Goku, I am your nee-san."

'Nee-san/chan' means sister, as I understand it.

Yep, nii-san is brother, I believe. Well, the -san adding a touch of respect, of course.

It's inevitable that if it gets fansubbed and the group is incompetent like most fansub translators then those words would be untranslated.

(Watching Magiranger right now  Nii-san is fine and so is Kaa-san but Ototo gets translated to little brother  It's incompetence like that that makes me watch RAW sometimes.)

I've never watched any Super Sentai with subs. For some reason it's more fun that way. Well, except for the last moments of Gokuranger... I mean, Gekiranger.

Oh, and fuck you for getting the Magiranger song stuck in my head again!

I really want to say I read on one of the numerous Comic-Con coverage sites that a rep stated that they were selling well, but seeing as I can't remember where I saw that or even if I read it right, I'm afraid I've got nothing to cite. Ya got me.

I read in the NYCC 09 thread on AnimeOnDVD that the rep said GT outsold Z.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

If that's true, then it's fantastic news.

I've heard the "GT-outsold-Z" thing from people talking about the singles, but is the same true for the season sets?

I'm sure it's the singles. GT actually had a release where you could get all the series for a decent price. Lost Episodes nonsense aside, GT's release was very solid. No wonder people were able to snap it up.

I'm really hoping for a standard DVD release of this version 1.2 edition of the series, just for the chance of getting rips of the unreleased BGM tracks via the 5.1 audio track. It'd be pretty damn hard to get 'em if all we get is a Blu-Ray release...

Majikaru Foosu! Yeah, once you get it stuck in your head, it just doesn't go.

Anyway, I am hoping there is some official sub like what Gainax are doing at the moment with their releases. But somehow I think this won't happen.

I'm coming into this topic late with general feelings but oh well...I am psyched for this, it's what fans have been wanting for years. Sure it's not a full reanimation. But IMO it'll do. I mean I got excited when Sabat and Strait re-did lines in the Season 3 Box Set (And a bit of Season 4 for Sabat). Now I get to here the JP Cast re-do it completely, should be fun to compare.

I'd actually like to do a Blog every week when they start releasing. Comparing images, listing major things left out, comparing line deliveries. Just a general review.

I'm going to keep my expectations low so that way I won't be disappointed.

The one thing I'm looking forward to the most is no filler.
If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.

Sorry if this was already stated, but this pretty much ruins the whole idea of "Dragon Small Z" I know someone was trying to come up with around here.

Oh man, forgot about that!

It's a shame for whoever was doing that, if the fillerless rumours are true.

I just hope they find out before they put too much more work into it.
