Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Was talking about female saiyans only because of Vegeta trivia dumping to Gokû in Chapter 6.
I'd be happy for the tournament to have a female mutant or Freeza race member. It just feels out of place in 2015 to have no female characters at all in the tournament.
Even the DB and Z tournaments had Ranfan, Chi-Chi, Videl, and Pan.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
I don't see how a god creating the original set of Dragon Balls during that time frame is a big plot hole. Wasn't stated that the Nameks created their own Dragon Balls from the Super Dragon Balls and broken pieces of them to created their own set of Dragon Balls.ArchedThunder wrote:I hope that once we get translations from the Japanese version of the manga that we get the whole "Age 41" thing cleared up, that could be a massive plot hole.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
So with that picture of Vegeta and Piccolo walking up the steps, could that possibly mean there will be 2 2 Vs.2 and a 1 vs 1 in this tournament, at least in the manga?
Also the super Dragon balls and the regular dragonballs confuses me, as aren't the Dragonballs indestructable, so how did they get pieces off it?

They aren't indestructible, just incredibly tough like marble. I think Herms has an entry on that. But you can see holes in the dragon balls in the series:Retan wrote:the super Dragon balls and the regular dragonballs confuses me, as aren't the Dragonballs indestructable, so how did they get pieces off it?

(Also trying to please fans who miss Yajirobe here

That was just them wanting to hurry up and go to the arena.Retan wrote:So with that picture of Vegeta and Piccolo walking up the steps, could that possibly mean there will be 2 2 Vs.2 and a 1 vs 1 in this tournament, at least in the manga?
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
They haven't even taken the written test. Whis was calling out Goku to take the test. What are the chances anyone fails, from either team?
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Dah see i hadn't even notice that that picture was in the new chapter, and thought it was like a preview or something for the next one.
As for the dragonballs, so what, there's one that has some pieces missing but no one notices because there so big?

Probably. Each ball is thrice bigger than the Earth, they wouldn't notice a few meters missing.Retan wrote:Dah see i hadn't even notice that that picture was in the new chapter, and thought it was like a preview or something for the next one.![]()

Wow, I didn't know what. I thought they'd skipped it. That's interesting to know.LightBing wrote:They haven't even taken the written test. Whis was calling out Goku to take the test. What are the chances anyone fails, from either team?

Also, when the Ginyu Force shows up, Kuririn seems to think he can punch the Dragon Ball that he's holding to destroy it.LuckyCat wrote:They aren't indestructible, just incredibly tough like marble. I think Herms has an entry on that. But you can see holes in the dragon balls in the series:

Maybe. Though, if they've ever been used since the pieces were scraped off or whatever, then the damage presumably would have regenerated the same as the ones on Earth do.

I thought the test was just meant to be a basic intelligence test, meaning that you are a sentient being that will behave between battles/stay in the ring and not just a powerful beast.LightBing wrote:They haven't even taken the written test. [quote="Avery"]Someone's late to the party.
A great chapter overall. Monaca's design is just as dumb as I hoped for. Hope this changes the "DBZ IS SO BADASS" mentality among the fandom. Champa's team is a mixed bag, though. While I do like Pooh and the robot, I greatly dislike the Freeza guy mainly because I'm sick of anything resembling Freeza at this point. Not a fan of purple Cell either.
Zuno's place looks spectacular in manga form and I hope it will look even better in animation. That little subplot was fun.
Also, Goku cursing Gohan.
It wont change the "DBZ IS SO BADASS". It will create the mentality of " DBZ WAS SO BADASS BUT SUPER ISNT SO IT SUCKS" though. And I'm surprised the female warrior thing is still going on. Dragonball is LARGELY aimed at males, and so it's going to have male characters 99% of the time. At least bulma is still very useful

Disclaimer: I might get into a disagreement with you. Sometimes I might even get feisty about it. I'll never harbor negative feelings because of it though. I hope you feel the same way!Jinzoningen MULE wrote: Maybe I should start making it a point not to comment when I'm not sure of something. Too many people know what they're talking about around here.
I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
The purple guy design to me seems like it would fit a villain, but I guess we have to wait and see. I do think the Saiyan is probably is a good guy since we tend to have more good Saiyans now. I rather take good guy Saiyans over another rehash of Radditz, Vegeta or Broli.Doctor. wrote:I don't think any of them are evil, just neutral, besides maybe the bear. Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
I wonder if they turn to stone. Also, I wonder if those pieces turn to stone at the same time. It would be a clever way to get rid of all sets at once for some time.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Maybe. Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
I dunno. The rules aren't consistent between sets. Earth's DBs turn to stone and scatter, Namek's DBs turn to stone but don't scatter, the Ultimate DBs scattered but didn't turn to stone in GT...alakazam^ wrote:I wonder if they turn to stone. We know the Super DBs are said to scatter, but the turning to stone part isn't mentioned. Champa has been destroying planets trying to find them though. I wonder if they might go inert and grow a "planet shell" or something to disguise themselves?
I sincerely wouldn't have minded a "Koenma in the Dark Tournament" moment here.Lord Beerus wrote:I welcome that.
