LeprikanGT wrote:That's pretty slack on the no cut scenes. How do they plan to seem things together between fights and the stuff they need to cover that aren't IN the battles.

Maybe there will be little clips of the show? -that could be what all those screencaps from the show could have been.

@ Mystic - apparently they don't care about costumes OR characters logically needing to be in the game.
Or perhaps, *gasp*, they understand that we've played, watched and read the same story for the past 20 years and there is no reason to rehash it again and again? I'm happy enough starting up "Galaxy Arcade" (my new name for Galaxy Mode =P) and fight whatever they throw at me, rather the fights follow the story line or not. They've said that their the mode allows for what-ifs to unfold during the matches, so I assume it won't always be the same when you play it. They can always link stuff together with a brief text/narrator summary of what is happening depending on how it actually plays out.

Maybe if you start off as Goku they have you face Nappa, and if you defeat him as well as Vegeta without losing a lot of life, maybe they throw Tullece at you too? Stuff like that. I'm actually more excited for this mode then any of them since BT3/Meteor allowed you to diverge from the beaten path. I don't need cutscenes showing me the same stuff I've seen since forever, and they won't be using clips from the show because there is no guarantee that they would sync up with the way you ended the fight. Just accept that they are doing something different and look forward to it.

EDIT: Galaxy Mode video has surfaced. It's kinda like Super Sonic Warriors 2, or Shin Budokai, I think. There is a map with points on it that you can select which one you want, the characters you fight are in a pop up menu. I have no idea if you have to do the fights in order, or if you can pick whatever one you want when you want. There are no cutscenes, and no linking of events so it seems, and the demonstration went straight from selecting the fight, to the beginning battle quotes, to the fight, to the victory quote, and then back to the menu... Though the fights do seem to have some connection to the character you are playing. (Tullece in the video had options to fight the Z Senshi, Freeza/Coola and their henchmen, etc.)

Oh, and another note...you can now have a draw in beam struggles.

spinning analong stick = fail yet again.

There were 'draws' in beam struggles in the show so I'm ok with that.

SS2 Gohan's ultimate:

Also a lot of gameplay:

Thought: Who thinks a beam that lands 'close' to you should still dish out some damage?

I thought the Punching Machine was revealed already in a scan from awhile ago?

Sounds like you can see the future. Jk

I am wondering more about the what if diverging in Galacade(My new name on it). I wonder if it will be like Supersonic Warriors 2.

I never played the second SSW but I'm thinking it will be like the story mode in Budokai 3 minus the world map; where you fight in order the battles the character did but skipping everything not involved with that player.

I think calling it 'arcade mode' sounds like it cheapens it.

Guys...I swear on my life that I saw a picture of the punching machine in a scan before. I know I did...because I've never seen that part of the anime.

I SWEAR IT.

You sure it wasn't from the first game? I've seen every single scan...and I'm pretty sure I haven't seen anything about the punching machine.....or Videl for that matter.

It basically looks like a console version of Supersonic Warriors 2 Story Mode. Not that its a bad thing. I am more excited for this game now after seeing the Galaxy Mode fight selection scene. Now if they dumped the Star System then it would be icing on the chocolate cake.

I think I'm just getting this mostly for the animated feature. I really hope it dosen't end mid story and continue in the game. Kinda looks like it might though.

Didn't it say somewhere that the whole special ... not dubbed >.< would be availiable at the very beginning of the game and you would get a 'bonus character'' if you watch the whole thing first?

I highly doubt they're going to go to all the trouble to remove Tarble from the game. Neko Majin was only removed from Super Sonic Warriors 2, because most western fans have never heard of him. And even then, Atari were the ones who were responsible for that. Whereas the Jump special was officially subtitled by Shuiesha when it came out. So all English-speaking fans had a chance to watch it then. Even if they somehow missed that chance, there's three different fansubbed versions floating around the internet right now. So I think it's safe to say that close to every Dragon Ball has seen the Jump special.

Who's idea was it that they would even think of NOT releasing Tarble in the 'over seas' release? He's a main new character in the game, and the only brand new character that's not a what-if.

Tarble is a character from one of the specials, just like Bardock or Future Gohan...I argee people should very well know who he is by now.

Unless there was something for it in the first game...or in Tag VS. I remember specifically a picture of it in a scan. I remember because I had never even heard of it before that.

Random question: Would Table be weaker than most characters? Like, around Yamcha level?
Oh, you think the Grand Tour is your ally, you merely stepped into the Grand Tour. I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn’t see the Super until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but blinding!

I don't know who cut that trailer for the special, but they did a pretty nice job. It made me wish the game's release date was closer than it is. xD
