Or perhaps, *gasp*, they understand that we've played, watched and read the same story for the past 20 years and there is no reason to rehash it again and again? I'm happy enough starting up "Galaxy Arcade" (my new name for Galaxy Mode =P) and fight whatever they throw at me, rather the fights follow the story line or not. They've said that their the mode allows for what-ifs to unfold during the matches, so I assume it won't always be the same when you play it. They can always link stuff together with a brief text/narrator summary of what is happening depending on how it actually plays out.LeprikanGT wrote:That's pretty slack on the no cut scenes. How do they plan to seem things together between fights and the stuff they need to cover that aren't IN the battles.
Maybe there will be little clips of the show? -that could be what all those screencaps from the show could have been.
@ Mystic - apparently they don't care about costumes OR characters logically needing to be in the game.
Maybe if you start off as Goku they have you face Nappa, and if you defeat him as well as Vegeta without losing a lot of life, maybe they throw Tullece at you too? Stuff like that. I'm actually more excited for this mode then any of them since BT3/Meteor allowed you to diverge from the beaten path. I don't need cutscenes showing me the same stuff I've seen since forever, and they won't be using clips from the show because there is no guarantee that they would sync up with the way you ended the fight. Just accept that they are doing something different and look forward to it.
EDIT: Galaxy Mode video has surfaced. It's kinda like Super Sonic Warriors 2, or Shin Budokai, I think. There is a map with points on it that you can select which one you want, the characters you fight are in a pop up menu. I have no idea if you have to do the fights in order, or if you can pick whatever one you want when you want. There are no cutscenes, and no linking of events so it seems, and the demonstration went straight from selecting the fight, to the beginning battle quotes, to the fight, to the victory quote, and then back to the menu... Though the fights do seem to have some connection to the character you are playing. (Tullece in the video had options to fight the Z Senshi, Freeza/Coola and their henchmen, etc.)

Oh, and another note...you can now have a draw in beam struggles.
