But didn't the special say the two villians were about the same strength of Frieza? And Tarble was having trouble with them, So I would say maybe like a Base Goku from namek perhaps? [I don't like thinking of Tarble as a little weaking but theres some logic there]

I'd think he would be weaker than Yamucha. Of course, we don't really know that much about him.

Doubt it. Maybe on Ginyu's level.
But, of course, according to anime filler he should be able to hold his own against Cell.

Yep. Tarble would only know of the power of Freeza's first form, though.

I don't know who cut that trailer for the special, but they did a pretty nice job. It made me wish the game's release date was closer than it is. xD

I'm so hoping that if this proves successful that we'll get a new full length (like, "Strong World" length) 2-D animated dbz movie.

It's a power level discussion from a time without power levels, there will never be an answer.

I guess it depends on if you think the earthlings ever got stronger than Freeza.
Then again, Tarble says they are stronger than Freeza....which Freeza though? Presumably, most people in the universe are only aware of Freeza's power in his "first form". Though Goku was obviously talking about Freeza's max when saying he wasn't much of a foe in hindsight. When Tarble said that they were stronger than Freeza, was he talking about their normal forms? or after fusing into Aka? This will be an eternal Cell-Broly-Hatchihyack-Dabra type debate, as we have no idea what exactly is being compared by the two characters, not to mention Gotenks miraculous downgrade to being weaker than SS Goku.

I'm going to go with Namek saga Base Goku on par w/ Tarble with all that Goku said about Frieza and all that.

And I guess Tarble REALLY didn't fight all that much since if he got his ass kicked enough he would have gotten stronger at every near death battle. Depending on his voice...he may be my favorite new character in the whole game.

Who's idea was it that they would even think of NOT releasing Tarble in the 'over seas' release? He's a main new character in the game, and the only brand new character that's not a what-if.

Tarble is a character from one of the specials, just like Bardock or Future Gohan...I argee people should very well know who he is by now.

People have been talking about him not being included in the overseas versions, because the JSAT special hasn't been released outside of Japan. I was simply refuting that.

ANd how exactly is he a "joke" character? He is a character from the show, has ki and is a saiyan who happens to be Vegeta's younger brother....if anything VIDEL is the joke character of anyone. And I don't see how Mr. Satan is a joke character to begin with; he has the more original moves in the games.

I never got the vibe that Tarble was meant to be even near that. Vegeta said he couldn`t fight, and he was running away from those villains in the special, whereas Yamucha tried his luck on the draw (so did Kami, i am aware, but you can have a bunch of reasons for this, from comedy value to him being just more skilled). Not only that, he got lip service with the WFF, with Vegeta`s little brother watching in awe, while everyone else was acknowledgeable on the kind of tactics and techniques being demonstrated.

Not everyone from the Saiyan race would be stronger than the four main humans at this point. Tarble just seems to be pretty average as they go.

That does not seem right. Gero mistook his pl with what Goku would have, per calculations, when he reached Namek, back in the android saga. That should mean that at the point of the special (post Buu), Yamucha is clearly above anyone of the Gynyu. Ten and Kuririn as well, it`s Chiatzu that remains a mistery, but even then i think he would take the weakest members of the squad. He did had some more training in the Buu saga, and managed to dodge the same kind of blasts that killed anyone else on Earth, save Ten and Mr Satan, which should also indicate that at his point he is faster than most (if not all) of the Gynyu.

I am not getting into that joke argument, that is kind of an opinion, but Tarble being a Saiyan doesn`t automatically give him a special bonus in terms of character status and power.

Well, Raditz is just another one whose level became obsolete to four humans. I have my doubts that Tarble is as good of a fighter as Raditz was, whereas one believes he is more powerful or not.

I'd put him higher than that. Saibamen were about the same as Raditz and I'd definitely like to think he is way stronger.

I'm basing my assumption on what Tarble said about the villians and then what Goku said about the villians. So Tarble is on par with atleast someone on Namek.

Well, he's for sure had some experience in battle. He's wearing Saiyan battle armor.
