With this episode, you're done with the Saban-era dub. Are you going to pull a prank and change everyone's voices to mimic FUNimation's "Season 3" dub?!
Freeza's role sounded more like Marik than Freeza, but you can't blame LK with some of his recent Marik & Bakura videos.
I also noticed that you used a different opening instead of the usual one.

Great job as always. I'm really liking the Space Australia jokes like Space XXXX Beer and I also like how your making Ginyu more like the old Ocean dub Ginyu instead of Brice Armstongs Ginyu. Also hopefully some of the fans will donate to the QLD floods.

Yeah, I'm not into wrestling either.
I'd have to say Earth XXXX is piss... that stuff is awful.
Good to have Goku back on the scene!
On behalf of Earth Queenslanders everywhere, thanks for dropping in the flood message at the end. I was lucky enough to be in a high area, so it all flowed away, but so many other places got wrecked, including my old home town. I lived there for 15 years and never saw it flood like that.
To say the least, it's been wet.
Yo! Cal's the name. Nice to meet you!

What made me bust out laughing was when Goku landed and Hulk Hogan's theme played... That just made my day!
Awesome episode!

I think Tom Dubois of "The Boondocks" said it best for me when FUNimation announced the release of the domestic Dragonbox, after buying all of the Season Sets: "MOTHERFUCK!!! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT, PRICKS, SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIIIIIIIT!"

Once again, a brilliant episode. Even though I'm not into wrestling, I still found it funny, fitting in with the silly nature of the Ginyu Force. The scenes with the Great Elder, Ginyu being made to dance and the Spacey's advert (with the mock advert voice and the Raditz menu) were funny too. It's also nice that you encouraged people to donate money to help the flood disaster in Brisbane.

Oh man. Recoome's voice is so good in this.
Better than any other english dub voice of Recoome.

Well this is a first... An episode of DBZ Abridged that didn't make me laugh once. It's sad to say really considering how funny
I found the earlier episodes. It's not that I don't understand the humor in this episode, as I was at one time a huge wrestling fan and still am somewhat. I caught all the references that were made. From Jim Ross' "Slobberknocker" to Michael Cole's "Vintage".
I think a major problem, for me, was that they went with a lot of obvious "jokes". Heck, I even think a Dragon Ball Z wrestling parody is too obvious of a gag, what with it's over the top muscle bound characters and the fact that the original treatment of the dub very much resembled wrestling promos.
I even recall a time when Cartoon Network-UK used Triple H's theme "The Game" to promote the ol' Dragon Ball Z Marathons!
Hearing Hulk Hogan's theme 'Real American' playing in the background as Goku landed on Namek made me want to hit my head on the desk. It was just far too obvious of a joke for me, infact I knew it was inevitable. What's in line for the next episode, Steve Austin's 'I Won't Do What You Tell Me' theme by Jim A. Johnston?

Well, you definitely won't see anymore wrestling jokes in future episodes.
It should be noted that we HAD to use more obvious jokes. If we'd gotten any more obscure, no one who's not an actual consistent fan of wrestling would have gotten the jokes.

Yeah, I understand where your coming from on that. I would hate it if it seemed that I was coming across as an obnoxious snob in my comments but I felt the things I've said needed to be said. From an editing stand point the episode looked great, just the story and the jokes that were told didn't appeal to me.
All that aside I adore the work that has been done with the Abridged series it has been cemented into my everyday life and has made myself and my best friend closer than we had ever been in the past. So thanks for that, man!

I loved this episode...and I HATE wrestling. I didn't get most of the references unless someone pointed it out in the comments section.
I love Kaiser's use of music switching between Z and Kai...but even more I love the portrayal of Recoome.
Definitely the most professionally put together episode so far. Awesome VA all around, awesome use of sound effects and music...just everything.

My favorite part was when Vegeta's music came up as Mark Menza's shit GT music.
I wanted a mission, and for my sins, they gave me one.

Good episode. Loved the editing. Didn't hear my unenthused cheer or boo, but they were lame, anyway.
My favorite parts:
- "Step into the Grand Tour" as Vegeta's music
- Daddy's Little Princess Dance
- "Dende, how does it feel to be the bronze medal?"
I'm looking forward to hearing MasakoX's Goku again in the next episode.

But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

A quick note of something that occured to me: Vegeta's battle noises aren't 'projected'. Instead of getting the 'hah!' he does a more insural 'huh!' or 'unh'. There's no real power to the fast-paced exchanges, like what you'd hear with the original cast's battle noises ("dadadadada-da!" etc.)
