Roshi being there also doesn't make sense since he's so much less powerful than everyone else. Roshi beating Freeza's soldiers is believeable because most of them probably were incredibly weak, but for something like this?

I'm not that excited for this since the image doesn't tell me anything.
Its interesting to see a good bunch of characters in the line, but I won't get my hopes up (U6 tournament, anyone?)
I'm surprised 17 is there and both him and 18 have new suits I'm also happy to see Buu again, hope this time he gets more spot for him and he wont be like the start of Super
I just hope this is NOT the Universe tournament. If it is, it would probably be so boring with a lot of characters getting to compete for each Universe

Roshi being there at all, beyond being a spectator, does not make sense. As said, him fighting Freeza's soldiers was OK, but I don't think a guy with a power level below 1000 is going to be able to fight other universe characters and keep up with the main cast.

17 and 18 are stronger than basic Super Saiyans, Krillin and Tenshihan are very powerful, Piccolo and Fat Buu are incredibly strong, let alone Gohan returning to glory.

I don't know, Toei gave him a pretty decent scene in the F arc with Kuririn. I mean, it made everyone besides Kuririn and Roshi look like absolute retards for underestimating Kuririn so much, but still, it was nice.

I LOVE that there are 10 Z-Warriors involved, I didn't expect this at all. However I just can't get hyped when Yamcha is getting replaced by Muten Roshi for the second time. I respect Muten Roshi, he's a great master and character.. but he retired back in Piccolo Jr saga. His three students are all much stronger than him. Yamcha might be the weakest Z-Warrior but he's still the 3rd strongest Earthling behind Tien and Krillin. Toriyama fucked me up real good in RoF, now it's even worse because there are 10 characters involved and Muten Roshi is replacing him again.

Of course I'll shut my mouth if Yamcha is indeed in that image, but for now I'm pretty disappointed.

Well the last episode had Bulma claim Yamcha was only good at baseball and 18 said Yamcha is no longer a martial artist.

I'm also not a fan of Roshi strength being retconned, Jaco shouldve been in his place.

Because we have literally no context or information on it. They all came back for Freeza but Goku and Vegeta ended up stealing the show.

I'm waiting for the typical Toriyama comments and any more info from Jump Festa before getting excited or unexcited.

No it didn't. Frieza's mooks were said to have gotten weaker and even before they needed blasters to shoot ki blasts. We don't know how strong they were.

Roshi also was struggling against one guy in super while krillin was easily taking them out.

I like to think that Toriyama was given feeback from the tournament and he took it nto consideration and hopefully this arc will have bigger roles for other characters.
