Before I saw him type "Cabe" I had initially thought it was "Kyabe" since Google Translate said "Kyabe".


If he's just some random saiyan who happens to be really strong my interest is going to drop in him exponentially back to where it was when I originally first saw and dismissed him; but if he's Uni 6 Gokû and Vegeta's son I will actually be invested in what's going on with him.
I'm just at this point where I'm clear-cut about what characters and plot stuff I do and don't care about in regards to Dragon Ball. ^^;

No offense, but that kind of reaction to not liking a character design just seems...a little over the top. Especially since, at least for me, I can't even imagine how boring life would be without entertainment of some kind, good lord. I'd go mad within a week.

Yeah, but that character design is "a little over the top" I mean, the powerful guy being a short dude with big ass nipples? Really? I only like it when women have those nipples(yeah, yeah I'm a perv). To me, the whole "little shrimp is a powerful being" thing only worked with Freeza, other than that, I consider this slacking, because I thought in the early days he was evolving in his art (i.e. Cell and Super Buu looking like actual threats).

That's because "cabbage" is said "kyabetsu" in Japanese. Just like "carrot" is "kyarotto".

Everyone's all dissapointed by Mr. Nipple. Give it a month or two to see him in action and everyone will all of a sudden be huge fans of him.

I'm torn on that. Initially:
-I liked Whis design, but later grew to like his character.
-I liked Beerus' character, but later grew to like his design

Mostly the character does have to have a good design though imo; first impressions and character interest after all. That's why I'm not interested in Monaca, but interested in Winnie the Buu over there.

Not!Cell looks like a toss away movie villain, I'm all Freeza'd out too much to enjoy not!Freeza, I'm not that big a mecha fan, and my interest in mystery saiyan depends entirely on if he's Uni 6 Gokû and Vegeta's son or not because his design doesn't do much for me outside of that. I would've liked a taller guy, but if he's short because he's Vegeta's kid I can accept that.

If he's just some random strong saiyan though, I don't care about him.

EDIT: OH THANK GOD, we got confirmation that the "Age 41" thing was not the Earth Calender, it's the Divine Calender! So I wonder if that means the Super Dragon Balls were made 41 years after the creation of the universe.

Yeah, Nail was what he reminded me when I first saw him.
People saw the Freeza look-alike and assumed everyone follows the old villain theme.

That's just common human nature and there's nothing wrong with it imo. It's the same reason I haven't watched One Piece... I really don't like the art style.

I believe the start of this Divine Calendar(Year 0) is probably the beginning of the Universe and Time itself..

It's a much easier to follow calendar. (as opposed to that horrible and confusing "Age Calendar" the series had been using up to this point.)
And i think Akira Toriyama realised that.

Makes sense right?
