Kitano is that good?!
I just have in my mind his shot from Gohan from ep. 7 and one of Goku Black from ep. 51 where there wasn't shading at all. Thanks for the help, tho.

Episode 58 image:nite_jay wrote:Have any new pictures from the next episode come out? I'm talking about the ones where you put in the date and a random number on the fujitv website.

Zero hint as to who could be in charge of the episode from this.

Maybe Yoshitaka Yashima? He did 3, 9, 15, 22, 28, 34, 40, 46, 52, and each has 6 weeks, so according to the schedule, it's him?

This would actually be 8 weeks because of the breaks. Either way, Yashima's next episode should hopefully be his best looking one yet for the series.Psykomatik wrote:Maybe Yoshitaka Yashima? He did 3, 9, 15, 22, 28, 34, 40, 46, 52, and each has 6 weeks, so according to the schedule, it's him?

Why did Iseki only supervised one episode and left? Do you think something happened behind the scenes, because he didn't want to follow Yamamuro character designs?!
I remember that months ago two animators criticized Yamamuro style on twitter, but I can't remember their names.

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.
Favourite old DB Animators: Masaki Sato and Tadayoshi Yamamuro
Favourite new DB Animators: Yuya Takahashi and Chikashi Kubota

Confirmed: there will be at least two more episodes of this arc.ArchedThunder wrote:Episode 58 image:

Iseki does not do a lot of animation, he is just a freelancer web animator. He probably did that as his tribute to dragon ball. Also people who criticized yamamuro I think were, hisashi eguchi and sato.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue - [Updated with #56]
Iseki doesn't really do a ton of animation for studios consistently based on his Animator's Corner profile. He probably just wanted to do an episode of Dragon Ball for fun. He did a fair amount of work on Kill La Kill, but now it seems he just pops up randomly every now and again.FortuneSSJ wrote:Why did Iseki only supervised one episode and left? The animators who criticized Yamamuro were Eguchi Hisashi and Sato Masaki. Eguchi is a pretty solid animator who used to work on Dragon Ball and Z. He also did some good work for the Cowboy Bebop movie. He essentially complained that Yamamuro so thoroughly corrected the work he did for Resurrection 'F' that it wasn't even recognizable as his anymore. There must be some truth to that too, because none of us have really been able to guess for sure what exactly he did.
Sato pretty much just said that he didn't like Yamamuro's designs IIRC. Sato of course is also a veteran DB animator who you've probably seen pop up a few times recently thanks to his amazing pieces of Dragon Ball fan art.

Sorry to request yet again, but I couldn't find the shot of Goku when he's watching Black transform (it's also seen in the NEP for #56). You know where I'm going with this...

That's the one, but preferably the version from #56 itself (without the text blocking him, although there is text on the bottom of the screen).Sodhi wrote:This one right?

I like that drawing a lot. It really shows worry in Goku's face.
Disclaimer: I might get into a disagreement with you. Sometimes I might even get feisty about it. I'll never harbor negative feelings because of it though. I hope you feel the same way!Jinzoningen MULE wrote: Maybe I should start making it a point not to comment when I'm not sure of something. Too many people know what they're talking about around here.
I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Mob Psycho 100 Character Designer Kameda Yoshimichi has also heavily criticized Yamamuro Tadayoshi, but not by name.
Iseki probably doesn't want to return if he is going to get stuck with bad animators. He might also simply have other things he wants to do, too.

Not surprised, considering Yamamuro's downfall from his 90s era work looked less... ugly than they do now.JulieYBM wrote:Mob Psycho 100 Character Designer Kameda Yoshimichi has also heavily criticized Yamamuro Tadayoshi, but not by name.

It's a shame he left, his characters are better than Yamamuro's.FortuneSSJ wrote:Why did Iseki only supervised one episode and left? Do you think something happened behind the scenes, because he didn't want to follow Yamamuro character designs?!

So, who's after Karasawa?? Kitano seems to be the one because his last episode was 51 and he is having 8 weeks, or maybe Yashima, if he is the supervisor of 58 it has to be his best episode on the series with those 8 weeks, his best episode so far is 3 so I hope he can do an even better episode.
Also I'm excited for Shida's cut, I also hope Futoshi Higashide is making an action scene in this episode, this man has been on every episode of the arc right?? I love him

I don't mean to sound too skeptical but is there a valid source on that? I didn't see that in Fuji TV's directory but I probably mistyped the correct URL.ArchedThunder wrote:Episode 58 image:nite_jay wrote:Have any new pictures from the next episode come out? I still haven't worked out how they retrieve it, but they've been pulling images for several weeks now and they're always correct.Marlowe89 wrote:I don't mean to sound too skeptical but is there a valid source on that? The same site leaked a Future Gohan screenshot a few days before that specific episode aired, so it's at least somewhat trustworthy.Marlowe89 wrote:I don't mean to sound too skeptical but is there a valid source on that?
