Team battles are a great way for the cast to interact with each other. Things like Vegeta giving Gohan tips during fighting, or the banter between Goku and Piccolo would be cool to see. If these fights are anything like Goku and Trunks vs Zamasu and Black, this is really hype for me.

And thank god their done with the whole Monaka thing, wouldn't mind not ever seeing him again

Except we have no idea if that's how it's gonna actually work.
For all we know U7 can be paired against one single team from another universe at first, for instance, while we don't see what's going down in other places. Hell, maybe 10 is a limit and not a set amount. There's literally nothing out and people are just jumping the gun as usual.

The tournamnet, I think it'll easily go over 25 episodes and Toriyama's 6th arc and the filler between it and this one will get Super to 150.

I feel like Super has barely scratch the surface since we didn't get new material until January 2016. I feel like Super could reach 300 episodes if they feel like there is more story to tell.

For 120 fighters? A have a feeling that it'll be a bit more than that.

If they're doing team battles then it could be something like this.

Goku and Vegeta.
#17 and #18.
Piccolo and Tien.
Krillin and Roshi.
Gohan and Buu.

I think modern DB in general will go way above 300 episodes but I'm not sure if Toriyama will be able to give them that much material so Super could go to 200 then get replaced by a Toei sequel.

Again, we'll probably only see the Universe 7 team's fights.

I also don't think we'll see everyone, we'll probably see who our team fights and who goes to the finals.

So if each universe needs 4 fighters to qualify then that's 48 fighters and even that seems like a lot.

Not probably, possibly. It's totally unfounded speculation on your part. Not saying that it couldn't happen, but it's dishonest to say that it most likely will.

They aren't going to show the fights of 120 characters, nor are they going to go through the trouble of designing 100+ characters just so most of them can be dealt with super quickly.
Due to the number of people the most probably outcome is that we'll only see the fights of the Universe 7 team and the set up of the tournament will be wildly different from previous tournaments.

This could be super's last arc..
That's sad..

In the tournament, if a child king decides to wipe out my entire universe because my fighter lost in in his child like game, I would be royally pissed off.. I assume that is going to happen to some gods of destructions too..
They Rebel against zeno, he dosen't look like he can take a shot, he gives me the feeling of glass cannon..
With zeno dead, an all out war break's out between gods of destruction's to take control..
That would be a scenario matching with "universe survival arc"

That's an interesting idea. It'd be neat if he's rediculously powerful, but incredibly easy to kill. Like they destroy universe 6, causing Hit to become enraged and he just one shots him. XD

I mean the dude is flying with other Z-fighters at the end of the intro and is standing with them in ending 3, both of which Roshi doesn't do. This is total bullshit, honestly.

I'm guessing an in-universe reason would be Tien being a douchebag again or Yamcha offering to stay behind with Marron so both 18 and Krillin can fight, considering both of them never fight together because one of them needs to stay behind with her.
The man just had a baseball episode dedicated to him. Not sure why you want him to end up bloody paste within a crater so badly.
Because I like him as a character and it would be cool to see him fight? Roshi being picked over him only fuels this stupid meme.

It said a tournament between universes, and we have 10 fighters from universe 7.

Since there are 12 universes, Toriyama would have to design a lot of new characters or this can't work. Most likely the battles between universes where universe 7 is not involved would happen off screen, to save some grief.

How many fighters do you think the finals will have ?

I think at the very least each universe will have 2 characters so Goku, Vegeta, Hit & Cabbe or hopefully a new U6 character for U7 & 6.

If you think about it, since the Zamasu Arc was announced Toriyama was already finished writing it.
So, He's probably had all this time to design characters. Not to mention Toyataro probably shows him
his own designs and hopes he accepts some.

I don't think it'll work off of a round system, but instead be kinda like a large team version of the hunger games, hence the "survival" name.

And if they make it so that if you get killed you cannot come back to life, it would add a new layer of suspense to Dragonball that we never seen before.

The way 18 is looking down at Krillin in the promo makes me think they'll be a team. Seeing husband and wife fight side by side would be better.

If anything I think 17 will be paired up with Piccolo. Would be nice to see 17 and Piccolo fight side by side.
