I'm guessing Whis' dad will be the final boss of the tournament. Also this is Goku's fault, if he didn't suggest the U6 tournament, none of this would be happening. Now a ton of deaths will be on his hands.

It's not like there wasn't already blood on his hands Goku practically gotten future trunks timeline destroyed cause of his fucks ups in the anime.
Plus I doubt goku thought the omni tournament would result in a do or die stake.

It wasn't like Goku was the only one to mess up. I mean no one seems to blame Roshi for not giving Goku the seal.

Goku practiced the Mafuba all night, he should have known better than to leave the seal regardless of Roshi.

Goku practiced the technique and wasn't told about the seal until he finished. Then he spent several minutes talking to Roshi, thanking him, and he never got the seal. As far as he knew, he most likely thought the seal on the jar or inside it.

True however still holds some of the blame. Also goku forgot the sense beans and left the mafuba in the machine which black destroys.

In the long run, Goku forgetting the Senzu didn't affect anything. It would have just prolong the beat down Black and Future Zamasu gave them. And Goku was only out of the Time Machine for a minute looking for Trunks before Black appeared shot the Time Machine. And he thought Vegeta had, who also didn't grab the jar. Or Bulma for that matter.

Japanese news outlets are making a big deal out of Kiyoshi Hikawa singing the new opening (and how he is "challenging anisong for the first time"). It's said to be a rock song, as expected, but which is very different from his usual style.

Hmm, well figures I'm kinda hyped up to find out how it sounds. I never liked the first dbs opening anyway. My favorite opening is probably gotta be "we gotta power by hironobu kageyama or the original DB theme song.

Still doesn't go against the dependable argument. He also slept through Freeza's entire invasion. Oh, and he nearly got the Earth destroyed because he wouldn't share pudding with Beerus and then attacked him. Buu is closed to a mindless monster who's a loose cannon who only listens to Mr. Satan, some times.

Because he's powerful, immortal, even dedicated when he sets his mind to something. If he knows the world is ending, he'll do his job well, if only to protect Mr. Satan.

Buu is only immortal in that he's ageless. He can be killed, as he was nearly beating to death by Evil and Kid Buu. And when have seen Buu dedicated outside of the Kid Buu fight? And everything you named can be said about Gotenks, except Gotenks can actually listen to people.

I don't know why everyone says this is the last arc. Hell, this could just be a Cell -> Buu Saga deal where this arc marks the end of the "first half" of Super.

Considering how they foreshadowed it a couple times, I wouldn't be surprised if all these arcs led to this tournament, kind of like how everything led to Gohan becoming SSJ2 back in Z...
