So, the new arc is manga based huh..
I expect great things Toyotaro.
It's clear Toie is trying so damn hard to appeal to fans and raise their standards..

And copying a non rushed Toyotaro is the best way to do so..

It's not following the manga. The manga only has this one preview.

I would like to believe toie won't show manga chapters in a trailer if it wasn't being used in some way..
Toyotaro said information will go from him to toie so there's that too..
It all adds up to seemingly them using manga as base..

I deny it because there's such little evidence to support it. I don't hate Toyotaro by any means, it's just dumb to make huge logical leaps without taking 15 seconds to second-guess yourself.

I don't know why everyone says this is the last arc. Hell, this could just be a Cell -> Buu Saga deal where this arc marks the end of the "first half" of Super.

Considering how they foreshadowed it a couple times, I wouldn't be surprised if all these arcs led to this tournament, kind of like how everything led to Gohan becoming SSJ2 back in Z...

I was just thinking kind of the same. Since Battle of Gods, when we put all these Toriyama plotlines together there's an unusual sense of escalation in his work, maybe due to all the help he's been getting from Shueisha and Toei. Let's see:

BoG - introduction of Gods of Destruction/attendants and the 12 universes concept.
RoF - the black sheep, as no major new character is introduced, no world building. Goku and Vegeta training under Whis and taking the way of godhood is relevant, though.
Champa - we learn more about the universes system, Zen-oh is introduced, comes up with the idea for a tournament thanks to this one. makes friends with Goku.
Future Trunks - the Grand Priest is introduced, Zen-oh is revealed to have wiped out universes in the past. arc ends with Zen-oh displaying that ability and two of him are brought together, which is certain to have repercussions.

Not to mention other revelations like how the Gods of Destruction and Kaioshins are connected for life, i'm sure that was brought up for a future reason.

I can't wait to see all the Gods of Destruction and Kaiōshin. Hopefully the former don't all end up as Cats. Though, even if they do, I still want to see them! Especially if there are any Goddesses of Destruction...

Well I'll be damned, a new OP did arrive and I was just complaining about our current one and wanting it to be replaced, plus a PV in manga format. Good news keeps on coming.

If Toyotaro just didn't bang out some pages for the PV and he's actually a few chapters a head (or a lot) they should put the guy weekly! I think he can do it! Bi-Weekly at the most like One Piece.

How many episodes do you think it'll take before the tournament actually starts? Not counting the month of January, but Feb when the arc actually starts. We'll have the announcement to the heroes, then the recruiting, then the training, possibly other things happening with the gods. This may be huge

It's a ceremonial garb, that's a very far-fetched idea.

Yes they are not all cats but they all have a cone, hat, tie, etc on their head, I agree it is a ceremonial thing for what's to come.
