Probably a matter of, "We're already recording two versions, so let's just throw this in the TV one because people will get a kick out of it."

Now, I'm a guy who's mostly knowledgeable about his memes, but.... that clip is just very.... different and slightly underwhelming. Not only does Sabat say That Moment so memetastically, but Nappa's line doesn't even bother to try to match the rhythm of the mouthflaps. What was wrong with "Nine THOUsand?! There's no WAY that could be RIGHT! It CAN'T!" from the original Z?

To be fair, Nappa's line on the uncut DVD/Blu-ray is slightly better in matching the mouthflaps, but it looks awkward when compared to the line that was said on Z.

EDIT: Also - It's odd that on the broadcast, Nappa's line before That Moment was "Vegeta! What's wrong with you? Tell me what his power level is!", but on the uncut, it's exactly the line from the Ocean Dub: "Vegeta! What does the scouter say about his power level?"

Plus, I loved that they put the Act 1/Act 2 break right before That Moment. You see Goku powering up, and all of a sudden, EYECATCH! It's almost as if they're saying, "Will Vegeta say that line you've been waiting for? Stay tuned!"

Um, all that says is that the episodes after 15 have yet to be announced.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

No, look at it again. There's a date and time for when the episodes are airing, just the descriptions for their content are TBA.

I assume that those episode titles use the dub spelling of "Friеza" and that this is just the forum filtering stuff, right? Though I'd love for them to use "Freeza", I doubt they ever will =P

Yeah, it was spelled with an "i" in the actual listings, but the forum filter changed that.

Damn, I was coming in here to say that my DirecTV guide showed everything up until episode 20 on the guide since they show up to two weeks ahead on it.

So, in episode 14, Vegeta said "Bluts Waves"... Is that the dub term or something? It was rather distracting, since I was expecting "Bruits Waves".

"Bluts" would be an accurate romanization of the Katakana for "Bruits". Unless we have some kind of confirmed Pun going along with it, or an official romanization somewhere including in one of the databooks (Daizenshuu?) there's nothing wrong with Bluts.

If Bluts was pronounced bloots, then you're right, but Sabat pronounced it bluts. I think Toriyama said it's supposed to be a pun on fruits, so Bruits is the better spelling. But really, I don't care about the spelling. I just want the pronunciation to be correct.

Also, Yajirobe called Goku "Son", but pronounced it as you would your male child.
Kentai wrote:Son Gokuu is a fascinating character anyway, because he is - at face value, anyway - an idiot savant. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

Wait, really? They used "Son" in the dub? And in the broadcast too?

He's being misleading.

Yajirobe said "You are the man, son!!"

I don't think he meant it in the aspect of Goku's surname.

Also; I'm thinking in the uncut we'll get the appropriate dialog along the lines of "you crazy bastard!" or something like that.
