Thank you for this!
Lots of fun accessories here; I really hope this game becomes available in the U.S. and Europe.

Had my first 'proper' play-through of this today and I have a few notes
- Gameplay is smooth and very cool, a bit like I'd imagine an advanced Budokai would be like
- Character models and stages look beautiful, I love the style
- Story mode is short and sweet, very good cut scenes and the interactive edge is a nice touch
- Love all the little accessory things
If you haven't got this game yet, buy it!

Re: "Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butōden" Discussion
I think it's unlikely that this game will be localized. At Level-Up Namco Bandai had One Piece: Gigant Battle, and a new Naruto PSP game to showcase. They may have not wanted to have two Dragon Ball games on display, but still.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

Re: "Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butōden" Discussion
I want Ultimate Butoden released in the U.S. and Europe though.
They haven't not released any of their DB games overseas since the start of the PS2 era games!
That would suck (imo) if they don't. I want to buy this game.

If they don't then I would seriously recommend the Japanese version, I can't read a lick of Japanese but the game is easy to understand and pick up, seriously worth it.Chuquita wrote:I want Ultimate Butoden released in the U.S. and Europe though.![]()

Does anyone else think that the reason we probably won't see an international release is because Game Republic shutdown recently?

Re: "Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butōden" Discussion
While that certainly doesn't help, I really think it's just more to do with the fact that it's a regular ol' DS game instead of a 3DS game, the DBZ games aren't selling that well (especially on the portables) anyway, and Namco-Bandai isn't shelling out for outside marketing firm support for the franchise anymore. Doesn't make a whole lot of business sense to take a chance on it.CashmanX wrote:Does anyone else think that the reason we probably won't see an international release is because Game Republic shutdown recently?

What sites would be best to import it from?
I waited a while longer than I would have to buy it since I thought that an English translation would be announced.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but does anyone know who composed the music for this game?
