Or maybe they do and they still think SDBZ sucked.

I mean....Super SBZ was aimed more towards people who love the fighting genre, but those people would have had to have been following DBZ games to know that. But that wasn't the case. Just same old DBZ gamers complaining about another game. Super DBZ needs to be part of the HD collection now that I think about it.

The recent video from Nostal had them ask this question, and the chances seem to be getting slimmer. The response (paraphrased, too lazy to watch the video again) at first was something along the lines of "No, Heroes uses cards and we aren't bringing arcade machines over". lol Then after Super DBZ's port was mentioned, he clarified that "After Super DBZ, we learned we can't just port games over. There were complaints that it was 'just the same thing', so we'd have to think about new things we could add before we consider it".
Let's hope someone emulates this then!

I'm fairly certain that Scamco guy was straight up lying, or something was lost in translation. This company has ported Gundam Vs. Gundam (the last of which shares an arcade board with ZBR IIRC) from the arcades to PSP, and PS3 in the past. Given those games on both arcades, and on handhelds were only released in Japan just expanding the roster like they did for those releases would be enough.

Emulate? Maybe in 10 years.

Uhh, hey guys, I was just wondering, what is so good about this game and why do so many want it ported? I've been trying to find out so by watching gameplay vids and such, but all that seems to go on is characters performing the same repetitive hit string and spamming ki blasts, amongst the other gimmicks. This game seems like a bit of fun, perhaps a nice party game, but nothing more than that. Looks like it will get old fast for anyone who wants to play competitively.

So why is everyone so hype?

Why didn't Nostal/Trevax told Namco Bandai that Zenkai Battle Royale + DB Heroes are two different games from Super DBZ? Plus, these two games have been building some anxiety by the fans.

1 - Zenkai Battle Royale because it offers tag team battles, Kikuchi music, players can run and the gameplay seems better than Raging Blast / Budokai Tenkaichi (and any other reason).

2 - Due to Dragon Ball Heroes being Japan-only a bunch of kids started their YouTube channels calling Heroes "Dragon Ball Hoshi" as if it's a new animated Dragon Ball series, which in fact it's a card game. As for the cards, they could be released digitally on the marketplace (X360 / PS3) so there's a solution for all, and updates = DLCs.

Come on Namco Bandai, you can't expect to feed the fanbase with the same games forever.

Note: The Kikuchi music would possibly have to be scratched as AB Groupe holds the rights and because of them we're stuck to replacement music (new / from other DBZ replacement soundtrack games).

You do not understand what Dragon Ball Heroes is. Without physical cards the game has no purpose. The cards act as your input in the game. It's not a traditional video game, or even a traditional card based video game. The only hope for that content is to wish Scamco takes out the models and stitches them together for a new Budokai title on 3DS or something.

You missed an important one for people wondering about the roster. Seems the new Super Saiyan additions do have their base forms:

But not playable versions, at least for Gohan and Trunks in their new ages:

If they're not playable, how do they appear?

According to the site, it looks similar to Budokai's stamina gauge. If you exert yourself too much or take too much damage, the characters become exhausted and unable to move, this resulting in an animation that has them drop out of the form until they recover.
Google Translate wrote:Proud of the performance of the Super Saiyan threat. Tension gauge of Super Saiyan, the contrast with the performance of the threat, aura has disappeared and tension goes to zero, will be defenseless state.
※ rules increase or decrease in tension is the same as the normal character.
※ if the tension goes to zero, and then gradually recovered over time, the tension becomes MAX again and return to the Super Saiyan.

So they can't transform at all in this game? That seems lame now but I hope the game will be tons of fun to play.

No, not at will. Except Gohan, he can transform into Super Saiyan 2 as part of an attack or whatever...

Hit detection seems so off, animations are stiff and sloppy. I'm starting to become underwhelmed with this game. Haven't lost interest however.
