^ Good news, but it does raise a point that's always hard to define: when does a recolored version go out of bounds given that the original is more than a simple recoloring? It's always something that makes me hesitate about doing/keeping some versions (although there's only a couple of those).

Namely, it's hard to define if Pilaf's green version and C-18's purple-haired version really belong here, because there's more to them than just recolors, they actually have a whole new design including a whole new costume.
So it's always a bit hard to know where the line is cause the line is quite blurry for those cases, because in the end, is the recolored picture really a good representation of that alternative version if the whole appearance is actually supposed to be more or less different? If you put my recolor side by side with Battle of Gods renders, they'll really feel different, and they shouldn't really feel different if the recoloring adequately showed what the alternative appearance is like, so does the recolored picture really belong to a simple "alternative coloring" thread?

Well, I'm not expecting answers, that's just to explain a point I'm wondering about sometimes and your announcement of the upcoming BOG render made me think of it. 8)

Too much views. Photobucket will only accept a certain bandwidth for free users. He explained what happened in the Colored Manga chapters topic.

It was likely my fault, for checking 1,500 pictures several times in a row, a LOT more than what was necessary!
There's no problem, it's just about time. Once a specific date of the month is hit, all pictures will reappear in all threads. 8)
Weirdly enough, in the meantime, they still appear in Google Image... Also, direct links for full renders still work somehow.

Image

A few images I took from the several Boo arc previews on mangabroadcast.com.
Please take note that while Vegetto has a darker blue on his outer gi, Vegeta's outfit has the same tone of blue as the anime.
Also, only blue-skinned Kibito has blue Potala (I wonder what that will mean for Kibitoshin? ).
Trunks has orange wristbands and belt.

Image

Also, Kaioshin and Kibito seem to be wearing regular earrings while on Earth... (at least during this chapter)
Videl has the white and orange on her FIGHT outfit inverted, when comparing with the anime.

They were always like that in this specific chapter, since its original release.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

I only noticed it now, just mentioned it because we could consider it an "alternate" costume. 8)

Glad they use the Kanzenban skins for Kaio Shin, Kibito and the Ancestral Kaio Shin, but I wish they had used the Kanzenban costumes as well cause they look impressive.

Videl looks so much cooler with those "inverted orange/white" colors!
And I like Gotenks' blue belt and ankles.

Because it's pretty much always been blue everywhere it's ever been colored (outside of alternate costumes in games)?

In grayscale Vegetto's belt is white as opposed to Goku's black, so making Vegetto's belt have the same color as Goku's is plain stupid.

Regardless of what color was intended, Vegetto would have looked bad from an artistic standpoint with the belt the same color as the outer dogi. Toriyama often colors his characters in for the manga based on what looks best in black and white since he rarely uses screentone. I mean, he colors in the blue on Vegeta's jumpsuits, Goku's dogi, etc, but Karin is white. Piccolo's pants are purple, but you don't see him coloring Kyui's skin black. He colors Tao's underclothing black for the manga, but colors it green in the color works from that time...but Piccolo's face is still white.

Still, it looks better than the anime version, because the tone of the belt and gi are different.

This just may be my perverted mind at work here, but Videl looks like she's got a serious case of rape face in that bottom panel.

Before Toei colored him on their own, it was pretty obvious that both the undershirt and the belt are supposed to be orange. Am I not right?
Sure, Vegetto's boots and gloves have the original color, but it's really weird to see the previously blue undershirt go orange and previously blue belt remain blue.

I think the belt is actually supposed to be Goku's blue belt, with the rest of the outer costume being Vegeta's blue, hence the different tint.

The orange of Goku is already reproduced through Vegetto's undershirt, so to complete that orange costume, the belt is supposed to be Goku's blue belt. That way you get the usual/familiar feeling that you're looking at Goku.
This is a clever way to make you see both Vegeta's costume with those outer clothes and boots and gloves (that way you get the familiar feeling that you're looking at Vegeta), AND Goku's costume with the orange costume and iconic blue belt clearly appearing at the same time.
That way you really have the feeling to see a superposed image of the two initial warriors, which, in your mind, is a strange (from a logical point of view) yet undeniable feeling.

Making the belt orange would have destroyed that superposition effect since none of the original warriors have such a belt and you wouldn't have the feeling to see Goku with your mind naturally combining "orange clothes + that kind of large blue belt = Goku".

And I just finished all the Infinite World screenshots, thus finishing all the PlayStation 2 games. Eventually I will revisit Sparking 3 and Super DBZ and substitute all the shots with in battle shots instead for an easier comparison and also to reduce the number of shots.

Here's the only models missing:
Budokai 1
Cell (Super/Power Stressed)
Gohan: Boy (Super Saiyan 2)
Trunks (Super 1)
Trunks (Super 2)
Vegeta (Super/Power Stressed)
Mecha Freeza

Super Dragon Ball Z
Gohan: Boy (Super Saiyan 2)
Goku (Super Saiyan)
Trunks: Future (Super Saiyan)
Vegeta (Super Saiyan)
