I do agree it's very very minor. Dare I say not worth complaining at all.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

You guys can't see it at normal size?

Honestly I have no idea how I got on this side, I should be over there with the supporters.

Should it really come a surprise to you guys, considuring the fact that Funimation only got RAW's of the Dragonball series that's why they look perfectly alike.

Dragonboxes possibly didn't come out when they licenced the series and if you look at some RAW Saiyan saga episodes on youtube you can see that they are identicle with Funimations ones dark colours and everything...

So in short Funimation did nothing to their series to begin with since they only obtained RAWs and no doubtly downloaded them since they couldn't afford actual ones ;p

No, we go through all of that because some of you can't see it otherwise. Like Rocketman said, if you have 20/200 vision, don't argue visual details with others.

Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

I'm wearing freaking glasses right now, and I still didn't see it until you zoomed in to pixelated levels. If you have to do that to find the one flaw, then it's really insignificant and not even worth complaining about.

Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!

RAW's, eh? Why am I not surprised that you're speaking in bootleg terms :P

...are you being serious? The DragonBoxes started coming out in 2003, FUNimation licensed the series (originally) in the early to mid-90's (DragonBall first aired in 1995, so I'm assuming they took awhile to cast and produce). So yes, as you so brilliantly surmised, the DragonBoxes didn't exist.

As for "RAW Saiyan saga episodes on youtube," I'm not even sure how to reply. Youtube compresses the hell out of things to make them easy to stream, and is hardly something to point at for evidence of anything in terms of color fidelity. Plus, you're talking about bootlegged episodes which typically are shit to begin with (lawl dablackgoku).

On the other hand, you can look at the original animation cels, broadcasts on the International Channel, broadcasts of other versions from other countries and even books like the Daizenshuu and so forth to see that FUNimation's colors are incorrect. If you like them better then that's fine; just don't pretend that they're the original, correct colors.

Just to reiterate a point, the recent screen comparisons shown are downscaled versions of high quality screen caps. Downscaled images make flaws less obvious. It becomes clearer when the damn things are blown up on either a computer monitor or especially an HDTV.

No one's bitching for the sake of bitching. They're pointing out an actual fact that there IS blurring being done to the footage, so it's not as perfect as people are saying. And I'm not even saying to compare it to the Dragon Boxes, in case anyone gets the idea that I am. :\

Doesn't help that Corey's also right about how Goku's undershirt does have its moments where it looks like it's black.

Since the colors of the movies are apparently similar to the old TOEI VHS tapes, I'm guessing that Movie 12 will look similar to this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvcAC71gmNU (ignore the song, lol)

Quality's awful, though.
