I think Gogeta Jr is just following how Akira Toriyama depicted Vegetto going "super". Whether he is SSJ1 or SSJ2 who knows

I'm going to give a tiny bit of leeway and say that it's just what happens when Vegetto goes Super. Lightning surrounds him when he transforms vs Goahn-Buu , then goes away.

HOWEVER, that doesn't excuse the utter shit of Vegetto having to power up at all to crush Broly's skull like an ant.

I reserve my potential bile for the next page, though. If Vegetto goes flying from Broly's punch, I may simply vomit.

FINALLY!!!!!!!! You know someone on the website bought up a point that technicaly Broly already lost do him attacking everyone. So if He manganes to knock Vegetto out( doubt it) he still is the loser. Sorta like what happened with Kurama and Karasu.

I think we all figured out as much though I doubt Vegetto would rather Broly not be disqualified since he makes such a large punching bag

. As for Broly, well I doubt the Vargas could do much to disuade the big dumb brute to cease and disist.

I hadn't even noticed that the Pottara earing hadne't been drawn in the last page until I saw someone mention it... oh well, no big deal.

But jeez, the artwork really is probably the best fan-manga artwork I've seen.

Honestly? I don't think it matters if Broly has gotten strong enough to face off against Vegetto. When working with a non-canon character who was fan-wankish to begin with, he can be worked however you want. Now, if they had done this, and made Vegetto step in out of worry and concern, for any other reason than he has found an opponent he wants to fight, then sure, go ahead. If Vegetto gets into a position where he's not enjoying himself, it may be a bit of an annoyance. Powering up another character a ridiculous amount was really one of the only ways to give Vegetto the page time he deserves... and Broly just happened to have enough holes in his story for him to be that character. And really, this is apparently all a warm-up for the bigger picture, and they clearly wanted to have Vegetto strut his stuff before they brought out the big guns.

And this worries me. Vegetto is the big gun. You can't get a bigger gun. What fucking chance does anyone else have if Vegetto can't fight the Real Bad Guy?

Gogeta. He's like Vegetto, but with U18s Goku and Vegeta he will most likely be stronger.
