Goku and Vegeta are strong, but probably no stronger than Gohan. Definitely nowhere near ssj 3 Vegetto tier, who could still probably defeat them with ease as just a super saiyan if I were to guess.

When Gotenks transforms into super saiyan 3 during his match vs Zen Boo, Goku says to Vegeta "He's passed us I think" so we know they're at least weaker than Gotenks.

I have a feeling that Vegetto is eventually going to fight a U18 Gogeta, and the fight will follow the conventional pre-super wisdom that potara is stronger than fusion. But Gogeta's ultimate state will tip the scales to a U18 victory.

Hmm. What if - Vegetto has been jealous of Gohan for finding an alternate route to power that is superior to the Super Saiyan form, A form that he's probably been steadfastly refused by the Elder Kai to receive for who knows how often. and now his weaker alternate proto versions unlocked versions of the same form, without needing the Elder Kai. Sure Vegetto is still stronger than Ultimate Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan, but now he looks inferior for not figuring out after all this time.

I'm hoping they'll have Vegito tell that what happened and that's how we'll get to see the fight. The manga has been disappointing me badly for a long time, but I doubt they'd be so low as to actually skip the big battle

They could give us a recap of the fight. But also they didn't show the count so maybe its not actually over. Maybe during the recap Vegeta gets up and they fight more. And maybe neither can maintain the new form so at a lower level.

We knew the result a year ago. Salagir could uave shocked us and had Vegeta when but the manga is following to close to traditional that Goku vs XXI will be the finals.

I would appreciate the shock if something different happens but that's the natural direction.

I haven't read this comic in a good ten years—if not more—but I had to come back when I saw a panel from the Gokuu v. Vegeta fight on Twitter. That was certainly a neat way to depict the battle! The art definitely feels like Asura stepped up their game for those panels, so I'm curious to see how time they were able to devote to the rest of the battle.

It's pretty funny how this comic is still on-going. Who would have thought all these years later? This thread alone was made back when I was still a minor!

Man, those last few pages were terrible. I'm the only one who think Asura's art has gone down a bit? I though the art from the last special was more round and DB-like than this main chapter.

Also really? A fight between two main characters that lasted less than a second? This is just stupid.

I always had in mind that a fight between Goku and Vegeta in this fanmanga would be something like: the two fighting through all their forms and techniques and then finally both using their aces.

Vegetto vs. Broly was more entertaining precisely because we followed his growth during the match until his last blow.
