I'm actually doing the same. My mates saying they're getting BoZ on Vita is the main reason why. I'll be getting it on PS3 too, so I can play with my mates who have PS3. The good thing is my mates never buy DBZ games, but they thought this 4 player co-op is a really good idea.GogetaSSJ2 wrote:Just bought a VIta for this game. Get hyped!

They need to stop focusing so much on the graphics, that's not the most important aspect of games, the gameplay is. A game can have absolutely beautiful but if the gameplay's awful or non-existent then it's no good. Let's just take Dragon Ball: Ultimate Blast as a great example (very good graphics, in this case, barely any gameplay).Super Saiyan Prime wrote:People in this thread are complaining about the game's visuals as it is. For this to run on 3DS it would have to be a game designed for 3DS and ported to PS3/360/Vita because the 3DS can't handle a downport of this.
This is the year of portable gaming for the 3DS and Vita (Sony) doesn't seem to be making any effort to get the damn system to be a success. Ultimately it'll probably just be PS4's Second Screen, I think.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray
Re: "DBZ: Battle of Z" (360/PS3/Vita) On-Going Discussion Th
Probably you are true in that factor. I don't see Vita getting any DBZ/Naruto exclusive game that won't be on PS3/PS4 aswell. Oh well, Battle of Z is still going to be fun on both consoles. But i'd like to see some real-life Vita footage already, same with J-Stars.dbboxkaifan wrote:Super Saiyan Prime wrote: This is the year of portable gaming for the 3DS and Vita (Sony) doesn't seem to be making any effort to get the damn system to be a success. Re: "DBZ: Battle of Z" (360/PS3/Vita) On-Going Discussion Th
^ The trailer seemed to have graphics of the Vita (Earlier part -- Lower quality graphics) and then 360/PS3 (Later part with much better visuals) though as for the gameplay itself it should be the same. I don't see why they'd need to make it any different.
Wii U started pretty badly but it's finally getting around it with superb games this year (Sonic Lost World, Super Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3, Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed 4, Scribblenauts Unmasked, Adventure Time, Rayman Legends and etc), so maybe Sony will do the same to PS Vita either this or next year.
Update on BoZ for 360 UK Prices:
Zavvi: £37.98
TheHut: £37.98
ShopTo: £39.85

http://www.thehut.com/games/platforms/x ... 28231.html
http://www.shopto.net/video%20games/xbo ... attle-of-z
This is much better now than before (£49.99) but I don't feel confident paying £37 without some solid gameplay, more info about the characters list and soundtrack. I'd rather pay £37 for SLW.

Re: "DBZ: Battle of Z" (360/PS3/Vita) On-Going Discussion Th
Oh, i guess i'll have to check the trailer again. I haven't noticed that.
All i want for this game is some more coverage of movies. If it's called "Z" twice then i understand the lack of DB and GT. But as long as they give some coverage to the lesser famous movies (M1, M2, M11) then it would be awesome. We never had any game with proper Dead Zone storyline, Garlic Jr. barely appears anywhere.
More than anything, i hope for Tapion =P

Re: "DBZ: Battle of Z" (360/PS3/Vita) On-Going Discussion Th
The game could look better. Period. The game could have many characters with lots of different moves its 2013. The wrestling games have so much variety on ps2 compared to anything they EVER given us for DB games.. I'm talking characters and moveset wise. The graphics are not as demanding as a game like Final Fantasy 13 or COD, so it's really just unacceptable when an ANIME game doesn't look top notch in this day and age.
Re: "DBZ: Battle of Z" (360/PS3/Vita) On-Going Discussion Th
They could be better - only marginally though. Most of Final Fantasy XIII involves a single character on screen in a relatively static environment and when that's not the case, it's either in an area with scripted actions like the battle screens or in a town where, again, it's scripted movements and characters. This game is set in huge open battle arena with multiple characters on screen at once with unscripted actions and huge amounts of explosions and other demanding effects. As far as I know, we don't know the frame rate of this game so it wouldn't surprise me if they were aiming for 60fps and that's the reason this looks so bad.vince90x wrote:The game could look better. CoD on console looks awful. Subs-720p resolution and abysmal texture quality but it does hit that 60fps mark. You don't notice that texture quality as much because it melts into the 'gritty' design that series has. When it comes to something like DB, where we're used to clean images, it becomes more noticable.
If this releases at 30fps, then I'm with you, it's piss poor. If it's at 60fps then I think they've done as good a job as they could have with the hardware they have right now. Raging Blast 2 runs at 60fps and that looks no worse than this.

For what its worth the game so far makes me think of a "Professionally done" ZEQ2 Lite or whatever its called. The way Goku was doing his free flying I immediately thought of that game.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Where have you being? This is a power-up aura of the game, not Kaio-ken or Super Saiyan God.JeffJarrett wrote:Gohan and Tenshinhan will have the Kaio-ken (or Super Saiyan God?!):
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

The graphics of CoD games aren't anything great, *sigh* people give the Crap of Duty series way too much credit and hype when it's not worth all of it.vince90x wrote:The game could look better. You know there's actually quality FPS games such as Battlefield, Destiny, Titanfall, Sunset Overdrive and others.

Hey man. It was just an example. I was just saying that a lot is going on at a time on screen. I don't think anyone called it great, he just used it as an example of a high action game graphically. Also, with regards to CoD, if you're going to make a valid criticism of it, don't start with 'Crap of Duty'. That series certainly has some merit despite the community and recent games. Ever seen ProMod on the PC side of things? Nothing to be scoffed at.dbboxkaifan wrote:The graphics of CoD games aren't anything great, *sigh* people give the Crap of Duty series way too much credit and hype when it's not worth all of it.vince90x wrote:The game could look better. We're all aware of the fact there are other solid FPS games out there and so far, you've listed two that aren't even out yet. You don't know if they're 'quality' or not. You entire post reeks of sheer bias against a series that has little to no relevance to this thread and conversation.
EDIT: I should probably add that Titanfall, a game you describe as 'quality' was made by the same team who made CoD4 and MW2, so there's some real mixed messages there.

1. You can never appease everyone in a fan base.
2. This game has about as many negatives as positives.

*Sigh* In generally I have high hopes for this game and defend it, but this worries me. I'm hoping this isn't some gimmicky, non-Dragon Ball esque power up move (Raging Soul and whatever that glowing red bullshit was in Budokai 3).JeffJarrett wrote:Gohan and Tenshinhan will have the Kaio-ken (or Super Saiyan God?!):

I don't think that is very accurate now, is it? Perhaps you could name some of the negatives of a game that we know almost nothing about.miguelnuva1 wrote: 2. This game has about as many negatives as positives.
