Pretty much. Most women don't begin to show until around the three month mark. Also, some women don't show until later than that depending on their body type. I had a cousin who didn't show until nearly six months.Jinzoningen MULE wrote:Not a large one, though. Bulma could've already been in early pregnancy. So when are we going to get that new info? Thought it was today.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

We also don't know how Saiyan pregnancy works since we've never actually seen a woman pregnant with a Saiyan baby. Maybe the fetus growth is similar to the growth of a Saiyan, it stays small for a long time and then grows at a rapid rate or something, or maybe the pregnancy lasts less time.HeroR wrote:Pretty much. Okay, come on. Saying that Saiyan pregnancy works differently is a bit of a stretch, we would've known by now.ArchedThunder wrote:We also don't know how Saiyan pregnancy works since we've never actually seen a woman pregnant with a Saiyan baby. Based on what? We haven't seen Chi-Chi, Videl, and Bulma sharing notes on their pregnancies.Jinzoningen MULE wrote: Okay, come on. Saying that Saiyan pregnancy works differently is a bit of a stretch, we would've known by now.

The fact that we haven't heard of it makes it likely that that's not the case. I mean technically we could make head canon for anything that isn't shown. It's still head canon.

How can you say that when we don't know? We've never seen a woman pregnant with a saiyan baby outside of early pregnancy for Videl and we've never been given any details. Saiyans already have weird genetics, pregnancy having different time tables wouldn't be much of a stretch.Jinzoningen MULE wrote: Okay, come on. I guarantee you that not one writer involved with Dragon Ball is taking genetics into account when writing. I can assume that Saiyan pregnancy is the same as human pregnancy because there's literally no reason it shouldn't be. Why don't you assume that all Saiyans have a third arm und their hair? Same thing.ArchedThunder wrote:How can you say that when we don't know? Toriyama already took genetics into account recently when writing about how Saiyans grow in Jaco and again when bringing up how Saiyans stay young until they're in their 80s in the Champa arc. Saiyans grow differently from humans, this is a fact, so pregnancy being different is not a stretch in the slightest.Jinzoningen MULE wrote:I guarantee you that not one writer involved with Dragon Ball is taking genetics into account when writing. And I never said I assume it is different, I'm saying it could be because we don't know any details about Saiyan pregnancy. That third arm bullshit is an awful comparison.

Um... no? I mean, I could find the quote if you want, but I'm pretty sure genetics weren't mentioned. Sure, they'd be implicitly involved, but that's it.ArchedThunder wrote:Toriyama already took genetics into account recently when writing about how Saiyans grow in Jaco and again when bringing up how Saiyans stay young until they're in their 80s in the Champa arc.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
It has to do with genetics, so genetics were taken into account, saiyans age differently BECAUSE of genetics. If they decide to say that saiyan pregnancy works differently they wouldn't have to even say the word genetics, the word genetics doesn't have to be brought up for something to be about genetics. I really don't understand your deal.Jinzoningen MULE wrote:Um... no? I mean, I could find the quote if you want, but I'm pretty sure genetics weren't mentioned. The subs I see say newborn. Not really sure the version you quoted makes much difference. That's an important distinction
If Uub is 6 years old then he hasn't just been born. If he'd just been born then he would be a newborn.

He obviously can't be a newborn since he's older than Pan, so that has to be an error in the script or a mistranslation of your subsBullza wrote:The subs I see say newborn. Not really sure the version you quoted makes much difference. That's an important distinction

And where exactly is stated that a Saiyan growth depends of the struggles he has passed?HeroR wrote:Future Trunks and Present Trunks are not the exact same person. Just like Future Bulma isn't the exact same person as Present Bulma or Black is the exact same person as Future Zamasu. As far as we know, Kid Trunks didn't get bigger because he didn't have the same struggles as Future Trunks since one grew up in Hell, while one grew up in peace. Future Trunks also trained a hell of a lot more than Present Trunks that effects growth.

It wasn't, but he didn't say that's what he thinks happened, he's saying that it's a possible interpretation of why Trunks isn't growing up yet.Noah wrote:And where exactly is stated that a Saiyan growth depends of the struggles he has passed?HeroR wrote:Future Trunks and Present Trunks are not the exact same person. Vegeeta does not use the word "newborn", he says "just been born". And Goku says "human kid".
He knows when they fought Boo and Oob can't be older than that. How's he just saying things if the writer intended for him to say that (and Goku didn't correct him) when he could easily give Vegeeta another line? They had a couple exhanges about it, it's not something hard to correct or not notice.ArchedThunder wrote:Vegeta also has no idea when Uub was born, he's just saying things.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
But he wouldn't know when Buu would be reborn. Toriyama described the rebirthing process being quick for Buu since he was so evil, while a being like Freeza has yet to be reborn. So Vegeta is at best guessing Uub's age since he wouldn't know that Buu was reborn almost as soon as he died.alakazam^ wrote:Vegeeta does not use the word "newborn", he says "just been born". Goku is short as a kid because he never undergoes struggles!Jinzoningen MULE wrote:It wasn't, but he didn't say that's what he thinks happened, he's saying that it's a possible interpretation of why Trunks isn't growing up yet.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Goku struggled, but it wasn't the same type of struggle as Future Trunks. Environment do effect growth in the real world. The same argument could be made why Gohan grew more normal compared to his younger brother who grows like his father. Gohan went through far more stuff than Goten, who also went through his own share of struggle, and it made him grow faster.Cipher wrote:Goku is short as a kid because he never undergoes struggles!Jinzoningen MULE wrote:It wasn't, but he didn't say that's what he thinks happened, he's saying that it's a possible interpretation of why Trunks isn't growing up yet.
